COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

I’m a sweet little treat, just like my name:  Snickers! My two previous owners both said I was the sweetest, most loving dog they’ve ever had. I was brought here because neither could take care of me any more. I’m told I’m a Poodle mix, which means I’m smart and love to sit on laps. I’m good with just about everybody – cats, dogs, kids, and adults. Give me a box of toys and I’ll dive in head first, entertaining you with my antics. I’m 12, have Vet Care Support for Life, and am house-trained but have a little dribble problem. I can’t help it due to a birth defect that affects my plumbing. It never dampens my joyful spirit, though, and I’m happiest being at home, cuddling up with my humans. I just need to find “home” again.

Hi… my name is Abigail,

Adopted 8-1-22

You know how most cats hate water don’t you? Well, the volunteers said that when they gave me a much-needed bath and brushing out, I purred the whole time! Maybe it’s just that I wanted attention so badly that I was grateful for anything! My young mom brought me and my real mom and her new kittens into TALGV to save us because her landlord was threatening to abandon us in the desert (he was definitely not a cat person!), so we’re all mighty thankful for that! I’ve had a bit of a rough time in my short life, but I’m hopeful I can now get on with the business of just being the playful companion I’m meant to be. Won’t you give me a chance to do just that?

Tre

Hi… my name is Tre (aka Curl Girl),

Adopted 11-9-22

I was adopted from The Animal League as a kitten with a playmate. When my owner died I came back to look for a new home. I was adopted, but after a time I didn’t get over my shyness with dad. I like to hide out during the day and come out at night, when I’m ready. And I don’t like to be rushed! I’m solid black with bright yellow eyes that seem to glow in the dark. I’m quite shy, but I do enjoy brushing from the volunteers. Can you help me come out of my shell?

Hi… my name is Cayenne,

Adopted 8-17-22

I am the proud, albeit weary, mama of the chili pepper litter. As a young mother, I was found wandering on a porch. The homeowner tried to find out who I belonged to but could not. So, she brought my kittens and me to The Animal League knowing that we would be well cared for. And we are! I am thriving on the attention of the volunteers who treat me like I’m “Somebody.” Well, I AM a pretty buff-colored girl. I have a fluffy, plumed tail. I have longing in my eyes for a trusted person to love and care for me. I would so like to meet you! Perhaps we can hit it off?

Hi… my name is Katie,

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

As a kitten, I came to The Animal League and I found a home of my own. I lived with a nice couple for many years but now they have to give me up.  I’m shy but friendly, and like cheek scratches. When they checked me out here they found I was FIV positive, which means I have the added benefit of Vet Care Support for Life. I’m really in good shape, and since FIV can only be spread by a deep bite wound, I am able to live with other cats. I’m a big girl and am very loving, but at times can be independent. I would probably prefer to be your only child.

PS My baby photos are shown at end of the gallery.

NOTE: FIV is a virus that can only be passed among cats (humans or dogs are never affected), and only through blood. Since cats rarely fight to the degree of drawing blood, FIV positive cats can live long and healthy lives with both other FIV positive cats and friendly non-FIV cats. So don’t let those letters scare you — they’re practically like everyone else and they’ll love you even more for choosing them!

Hi… my name is Ding Dong,

Adopted with Dewdrop 8-14-22

Out on my own outdoors, I found a nice neighborhood where people would feed me. That was okay, but I did suffer some injuries to my nose and paw.  One of the neighbors brought me to The Animal League where I got my injuries treated and can look for a good indoor home. I like to play, and will follow you around to be picked up. I enjoy petting and scratching and have made friends with the kitties here, especially Sweetie. My fur is super-soft with an interesting gray color. I have beautiful yellow/copper eyes. I’m looking for a safe place to let my sweet nature shine through—can it be with you?

Hi… my name is Dewdrop,

Adopted 1-3-25

Someone didn’t want me any more and left me in the lobby at The Animal League—so I can’t tell you anything about my earlier life. But at least I came to a safe place! The nice people here are taking great care of me and I really like the volunteers.  I’m very friendly and love to be petted and scratched. I have a sweet perch on a cat tree where I spend my time napping. My coat is a beautiful gray with lots of white on my face and chest. I’m young enough to give you many years of companionship! Won’t you come meet me and let me show you how charming I can be?(7-22)

Hi… my name is Mystic Sky,

Adopted 8-17-22

Well, darn, dad is moving and can’t take me with him! I have lots to recommend me to a new household:  I’m good with children and small dogs, and am very friendly. Dad says I’m loveable, playful and smart. I like meeting new people. The volunteers here say I really like chin scratches and brushing, and I will jump into your lap and rub against your chest to show my affection. My coat is a handsome gray and white, and my eyes are yellow-green. At my young age I’m looking for a home where I can be part of the family for years to come. Does that sound like fun for you?
