Animal League News

Hi… my name is Wheelie,

Adopted with Victory and Dax 8-17-22

In my first photos I look a little scared—and no wonder! I was discovered when I fell out of the undercarriage of a car and jumped onto a barricade. A nice lady brought me to The Animal League where I’m adjusting to the TLC they provide. I really enjoy the volunteers who brush me and will roll over on my back so they can get all the good spots. I love laps too. I was pretty dirty from the experience with the car when I first arrived, but now my coat is a beautiful white. If you have a safe home where I can stay inside, let’s meet! I’m sure I can charm you.

Hi… my name is Winston,

Adopted 9-3-22

It’s bad enough when people throw litter from their cars, but it’s carrying things too far when they throw out an innocent puppy. That would be me, Winston! Thankfully someone saw what happened and came to my aid. When it was decided I was okay, I was invited to stay with the nice people until they brought me to TALGV. They said I’m a very sweet boy who got along with their cats and small dogs. I even sat when told (sometimes). After all, I’m only about six months old! Naturally I’ll need training to help me become a well-mannered adult. Right now I’m just a wiggly, playful, happy pup that would really appreciate a forever home, filled with love. Why don’t you visit  and spend some time getting to know me. You won’t be sorry!

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

As a stray, I was left to rely on the kindness of strangers. Thankfully, kind people heard my crying outside their house all night and brought me to TALGV. I was deemed healthy upon examination except I had a hurt foot missing some fur. They suspected this trauma was from a car. Once again, a kind person, the vet, tended to my injury. I am doing well in a safe environment with other cats. Since I am FIV+, I have Vet Care Support for Life. I really appreciate the kindness of the volunteers who care for me. What more could I want than food, water, and petting? Answer: a home of my own! Perhaps with you? Please come meet me!

Hi… my name is Orange Julius,

Adopted 8-21-22

My mom had to go to a care facility, so here I am at TALGV! I’m a two-year-old beefy buff and white boy with big yellow eyes. I like to cuddle and enjoy hanging out on high shelves. I’m friendly but still a little shy here, preferring to stay in my cubby (but I can be coaxed out for petting). In my previous home I loved to meet people. I do like chin scratches from the volunteers and will roll on my back for brushing. I’d love to find a home where I can get back in touch with my softer side. Would that be with you? Come meet me, and let’s make a plan!

Hi… my name is Buddy Boy,

Adopted 10-25-22

Well, I was allowed to be outside and the neighbors objected. Somehow that resulted in me coming here, looking for a home where I can stay indoors all the time. I was a little shy here at first, but I quickly came out of my shell. So now I’m enjoying being petted by the volunteers, and I love to be brushed. I approach visitors and volunteers and will jump into your lap for attention. I like to look out the window (maybe remembering my outdoor days). I have a nice gray and white coat and a cute pink nose. All I’m missing is a nice, safe home. Can you help me out with that?

Hi… my name is Panda,

Adopted 3-19-23

Here’s the deal. When I was a kitten I lived with two young kids, two dogs, and another cat. We all got along great, and my people said I was a typically playful boy, loved to romp with everyone (especially the animals), and was “always hungry and stole food from the others.” Hey, I was a growing kitten! I came to The Animal League after a few months and was adopted, spending my “early years” with a nice person who is now going into assisted living. I’m not up for living with children again, since I do like to play a little rough.  I like to be petted and will be friendly. How about it?

Hi… my name is Tank,

Adopted with Nubia 11-10-22

Nubia and I have been together since we were born. Although we are siblings, I am almost twice her size and have always made sure she was okay. You know: protect her from strangers, snuggle at night, and play with her. But it doesn’t mean that we don’t like to snuggle with our people. On the contrary! I, for one, prefer sleeping in a real bed over one made for dogs. It just takes the two of us a bit to warm up, especially with all the back and forth recently. But as everyone here can tell you, if you give us a little space when you first arrive, I will check you out and soon Nubia and I will be your best friends. Best Friends Forever, if you ask our preference!

Hi… my name is Nubia,

My brother Tank and I have been together since we were born. Although we are siblings, he is almost twice my size and has always made sure I was okay. He is a great protector and I like to play with him. But it doesn’t mean that we don’t like to snuggle with our people. On the contrary! Tank prefers to sleep in bed with our people and I love sitting on laps! It just takes the two of us a bit to warm up, especially with all the back and forth recently. But as everyone here can tell you, if you give us a little space when you first arrive, Tank will check you out and soon we will be your best friends.
