My family decided, since they couldn’t give me the care they want me to have, that it’s in my best interest for TALGV to help me find a new home. I’m a mature lady who comes with Vet Care Support for Life. I may be deaf, but that doesn’t stop me from being a happy, good-natured girl who absolutely adores people. Since arriving here, I’ve been on a diet to help me lose weight and gone on daily walks for much needed exercise. It seems that even though I may like Oreos, they are definitely NOT a healthy breakfast food for dogs! Not bragging, but I’ve already lost 20 pounds and I don’t even miss the Oreos. What I do miss is a loving home. You say you have the home? I’ve got the love!

My life has some mystery. When my humans bought their house several years ago, I came with it. A strange situation? Well, it worked out for me because these humans loved me. I enjoyed being the only pet. I was good with children visiting our home. I liked to sleep on soft chairs, and I especially liked being brushed and having my head scratched. Sadly, my humans wanted to travel and could not take me with them. I’m adjusting to my new surroundings and tend to be shy. I long for a home of my own. Unfortunately, I’ve returned to TALGV, but I’ve come bearing good reports from my previous owner. I’m a loving, gentle, and exuberant female Shepherd mix, who recently shared a home with two other dogs, a cat, and visits from a 5-year-old child. I’m crate trained, ask to go out, and can use a doggie door. I know several commands such as “sit,” “lie down,” and “leave it,” etc. I’m good on a leash and enjoy car rides, playing fetch, and working puzzles. Sometimes I get excited and jump up but settle down upon command. Like most pups I don’t like being left alone too long. In my opinion, I think I could fit quite nicely into the average home. Do you have an average home? I’m packed and ready to go!

Found in the desert, I needed some TLC. My foster mom has more than provided that tender loving care so that I’m now ready to move on to my new home. She said that I’m incredibly handsome and playful. I like to eat with company. I appreciate head and shoulder rubs, but don’t touch my tummy! Cuddling close to my person, I have a huge motor purr. I have lived with dogs with no real issues. Just not a big fan when I’m on the ground. But get me in my cat tree, and I’m on top of my world! Won’t you let me be part of your world? I have lots of love to give.
