Animal League News

Hi… my name is Dollie,

Adopted with Mollie 3-10-22

My sister Mollie and I are two adorable, fun-loving, and playful puppies. When we were outside all alone, a nice person took us in and cared for us for a few weeks. She taught us to tell her when we had to go potty and how to be good when left alone. We got along well with her children and even with her kitties. But the older dog who lived there didn’t care for us, so she had to bring us to TALGV. The volunteers say that we are really sweet, walk well on leashes for pups so young, and that we like everyone, showing our affection with lots of doggie kisses. Now we are looking for our forever home and if we could stay together, that would be totally awesome!

Hi… my name is Lance,

Adopted 3-6-22

Being the free-spirited boy that I am, I decided to go on an adventure. Fortunately for me, I safely ended up at TALGV. I’m friendly, outgoing, and love people, and often express my feelings (and opinions) vocally. That’s the “nature of my breed,” and so is stubborness. All I need is firm, gentle training! I love playing and exercising, and I admit that floral scents stimulate me. I walk and take corrections well on a leash, but tend to pull. Training on loose leash walking is recommended. I ride well in a vehicle, sit on command, and know how to wait and go when requested. My amount of agitation to other dogs depends on distance, my “threshold” range. Speaking of threshold, I hear your home  has one! That’s one threshold I’m willing to live with…forever.

Hi… my name is Chase (aka Colt),

Adopted 1-21-22

Through no fault of my own, I have been a TALGV resident several times. As a kitten, I was rescued with my three litter mates from TALGV’s parking lot when a woman left us in a box and sped away in her car with no explanation! After being well-cared for by my TALGV foster, I was adopted and lived for several years in a home. In a turn of events, I was recently returned to TALGV. Then a gentleman adopted me, but he couldn’t take care of me properly so here I am again. What a whirlwind! And through it all, I have remained the sweetest, most friendly cat! You MUST come meet me and let me shower you with my affection!

PS My baby photos are shown at the end of the gallery.

Hi… my name is Luna (aka Lacy).

Adopted with Boo and Buddy 1-24-22

Originally, I came to TALGV from a household that accepted any stray that came along. At that time my human mom said that I was a mellow companion who liked to be brushed. For the past 6 ½ years I have been the loving companion of an older woman who said I love to play with string-on-wand toys, balls and stuffed animals. I’m very healthy and rarely have hairballs (all because I appreciate being brushed!).  I’m accustomed to cuddling with my human at night on her bed. Sadly, I couldn’t move with her so I’m looking for another human companion. Won’t you please come meet me? There’s still so much love I have to share!

Hi… my name is Loralei,

Adopted 11-15-22

Do you believe in miracles? I do! After excellent and thorough medical care at TALGV, I now can see out of both eyes! When I first came in from the desert near Canoa Ranch, my one eye was closed due to “something desert-y” in it. After several visits to the vet, I can see clearly now! I’m shy and skittish with volunteers.  However, if you wrap me in a blanket, I will cuddle with you. I am a work in progress. After fending for myself in the desert (not a place for this girl!), I need tender, loving care by my human. Will you be that person who will love and care for me?

Hi… my name is Dev,

Adopted 1-14-22

Abandoned at the front entrance to TALGV, my background is a mystery. Why would someone just drop me off and leave? The kindness of strangers is winning me over. I need some security in my world. Kind volunteers are trying to reassure me that the world IS kind and that I’m safe here. My soft, black fur probably makes up half of my weight. I love to be petted and softly talked to. Ear scratches are a favorite. Although I am settling in, I would really thrive in a home of my own. Won’t you come to meet me? We could make our present and future so much better than my past.

Hi… my name is Vaca,

Adopted 1-26-22

As a kitten I lived happily with a family of humans, dogs, turtles and fish until my human went off to college and I was not enrolled! So TALGV welcomed me, and I was adopted by a family which included two children and a dog. My humans said I was sweet, cuddly and VERY smart. I have been known to sneak out sometimes by opening doors.  So, you’ve got to watch me. I’m still kitten-like in behavior. I’m very tolerant of children and dogs. I can sleep anywhere but sometimes nocturnal dreams make me very noisy. But together, you and I could deal with that. Please let me enhance your life with my loving, playful nature.
