Hi… my name is Dewey,

Adopted 9-29-21

If ever there were an aptly named cat, it’s me! I was a library “meeter and greeter” in my early years and naming me Dewey (after the Dewey Decimal System, of course) was a natural! Well, after I left there, I lived with my mom and my best friend, Britches, and we thought “happily ever after” was going to be our future. Sadly, mom went into assisted living, so here we are, hoping that the “ever after” dream can still be a reality. I’m an 8-year-old, longhaired declawed gentleman, who loves, loves, loves attention, and I’ll be overjoyed to share that love with you (and Britches, too, if we could stay together)!

Hi… my name is Liza,

Adopted with Charlie Boy 10-7-21

Before my mom moved to India, she was desperate to find homes for me, a feline friend, and small dog. She separated us and gave them to a friend who promised to give them a good home. When she was relinquishing me here, she noticed their names on the “available” board and was shocked that the person she’d entrusted them with had turned them both in. They’ve both been adopted already, so it’s just me now, and even with all the other cats here, I don’t know them very well and I’m kinda lonely, so would absolutely love to share all my affection in the kind of caring new home mom always envisioned for me.

Hi… my name is Charlie (Boy),

Adopted with Liza 10-7-21

Looking for a cat that’s hypoallergenic, has minimal shedding, and a great personality thrown in for good measure? Well, look no further! According to our breed description, “Not only are they hypoallergenic, but they have a trait called “glistening” that gives their coat a shiny, glimmering finish. With their natural tendencies to follow their owners and to give and receive affection, Burmese are almost dog-like, and many cats of this breed learn to play fetch.” Cool, huh? My “wife,” Mira, and I were part of a “too many cats” situation and our mom had to relinquish some of us, so now that I’m here, I’m ready to cuddle my way into your heart!

Hi… my name is Charlie,

Adopted 4-3-22

Everyone thinks babies are cute, but try being a middle-aged cat used to life with just his humans and then have a small creature with a thousand hands enter your life, hog all the attention, and see how YOUfeel! My people tried to help me adjust, but I couldn’t manage, so I came here. A nice, older lady adopted me and another cat a few months ago, and although I really liked her, I wasn’t into other felines either, so at the moment, I’m a bit put out about it all and am being standoffish. But I know given time and patience, I’ll be the perfect one-person, quiet-home companion I was meant to be.

Hi… my name is Bigelow,

Adopted 2-12-22

Found alongside I-19, I was saved from disaster by being brought to TALGV. Well, wouldn’t you know? I endured weeks-long ringworm protocol so basically missed the joy of my kittenhood. I didn’t have much human contact. That took its toll.  Thankfully, a kind couple adopted me. They said I was shy with everyone yet needed attention. I was loving and never bit or scratched furniture or them. I hid during the day and batted balls around at night. At TALGV I am hiding in my cubby but will allow volunteers to pet me. I haven’t minded another cat joining me in the cubby so maybe I need a playmate? Please give me another chance!

Hi… my name is Mopsey,

Adopted 10-8-21

When I left TALGV as a kitten, I was a typically active, slender little girl. When I was returned a year or so later (because my older mom’s health wasn’t good enough for her to “be my best with her”), I had gained quite a lot of weight and am now in the “chubby” category. Although I got lots of love, I guess that I didn’t get a whole lot of exercise, so I’m looking for a more active home where I’ll be able to “let it all hang out” romping around chasing catnip toys and those elusive ghosts that lurk in the shadows. I hope you’re the one who’ll give this sweetie that chance!
