I’m just dying to have someone sing “I Got You, Babe” to me so that I know that I really belong! Some relatives “gifted” me to my senior mom but since I’d only been there a week, I let my loneliness be known at rather inappropriate times. Being a typical kitten, though, I “ran around,” loved playing with the dogs, and chasing a laser light and feather toys. Nothing so surprising there! All I really need is a loving, active home where I can have time to adjust to a new environment (maybe even with a feline or canine pal for company?) and I’ll get over those old “separation blues” in no time!

I’ve come a long way from providing the residents in an assisted living facility with lots of love as the “house cat” by snuggling and schmoozing with them in their rooms to needing that kind of care myself. Since then, I’ve lost my sight and am on a special kidney diet, so now it’s my turn to have someone be as loving to me as I’ve been to others (and at 14 years old I have Vet Care Support for Life to help with medical bills and food). I know that angels will be sitting on your shoulders when you decide to make your lap the spot in which I spend my golden years!

So I guess after 18 months of being not very nice to my rescuer’s cat, even though I was wonderful with her, I lost my second home. My first family abandoned me when they moved away, so I’m beginning to get a complex that I’m hoping you’ll help me get over! My mom said I’m a sweet cuddler who rubs all over you and will let you know in no uncertain terms when I want attention (which is a lot, so if you’re not into “needy,” then maybe I’m not for you!). On the other hand, if you want a companion who’ll be beside you all the time, then you’ll hit the jackpot with me!

Hi… my name is Suzy,

I am a young, fun-loving, and affectionate beagle and heeler mix who originally came to TALGV as a puppy. Someone threw me from a car back then, but I have a new hip, so you wouldn’t know it! My former family says I got along really well with the kids and the cats – just not so much with the other dogs. They also said I was well behaved while I lived with them and that I walk nicely on a leash. I know the sit and wait commands, and I even give High Five’s! I love walks and to play fetch with my favorite ball, and so far I’ve liked everyone I’ve met. I also enjoy cuddles and snuggling up to my person. Can we snuggle up together on your couch?

I’ve recently been returned to TALGV, and even though I’m comfortable here, I personally prefer living in a “regular” home. People from my past have commented that I’m well behaved, affectionate, and love people and other dogs. I’m happy playing with anyone who’s willing to play with me. It’s also been mentioned that I am snuggly, loving, and calm; just ask about me when we meet in person. I can guarantee you one thing, my sweet personality and good disposition haven’t changed over the years. Now I have one goal, and that’s to find my own “forever” home. It’s a well-known fact that “special needs” cats are almost always extraordinarily sweet and oh-so-special in many ways! In my case, I have limited vision (the vet who examined me said that if Blossom were a person, she wouldn’t need a seeing-eye dog, but she wouldn’t be allowed to drive!) I still get around just fine (especially once I get to know my surroundings and, truth-be-told, I’d way rather spend time in your lap anyway!) Most of my life I have lived with a family that included two adults, two teens and small dogs. I enjoyed cuddling with my humans and playing with my canine buddies. I’m just a love! So please come meet me!
