Hi… my name is Matthew,

Adopted 1-17-21

I am a young, happy, friendly, bouncy shepherd mix looking for an active family to have fun with! My foster mom says I am eager to learn, and that I learn fast, too. I am housebroken and I also know quite a few commands already, including “sit”, “come”, and that “off” means not to jump on people. When you say “no,” I stop what I’m doing. At night I sleep in my crate and I’m also okay with being left alone there for a while. If you give me a chew toy, I will entertain myself until you come back. Maybe then we can go for a car ride? Or visit with other dogs? I love running around with them and they say I play very nicely, even with the smaller ones.

Hi… my name is Benjia,

Adopted 1-1-21

For five years I lived with my family, until they moved and couldn’t take me with them. Then, my whole outlook on life changed. I’m still a sweet, affectionate girl but I have a few issues to address. I would prefer a home without any steps and no contact with other dogs. As for walks, I WON’T GO; DON’T ASK ME! That should cover it. Finally, I’ll tell you the good points. I enjoy being in my crate and “you don’t need to walk me.” I love people and I have a beautiful face with expressive eyes. When you look deep into them you may see some sorrow but above all you can see the love. That love can all be yours. Please, just make that call and I’ll be waiting for YOU.

Roo

Hi… my name is Roo,

Adopted 9-22-20

When you meet me, I’m betting you’ll be singing that old tune “Baby face…you’ve got the cutest little baby face…” cause that’s exactly what I have. There’s no denying that I’m a girl (even though the majority of orange and buff tabbies are guys), as with my button nose and pert ways, there’s no question about it. I only got to live with my people for a few weeks when my dad died, and mom had to move out of the country, so I’ll be pretty much a blank slate for my new family. I think it would be a sterling idea to greet the fall and cooler weather with a cheery new family member!

Hi… my name is Scotch,

Adopted with Soco 9-25-20

When a new family member joined our house and nasty allergies popped up, my brother, Soco (why he wasn’t named “Soda” I’ll never know!), and I had to move on. It shouldn’t be hard for us to adapt to a new home though, as we lived with a baby and a dog (the dog was OK until he chased us, then he was canis non grata!), and mom said that I love to play and run around, am very friendly and like to knead humans (with all the bread making going on these days, I’m getting in on the act). It’s a well-known fact that two cats double your fun, so let’s get started!

When a new family member joined our house and nasty allergies popped up, my brother, Scotch (why they didn’t name me “Soda” I’ll never know!), and I had to move on. Given that we’re outgoing guys, It shouldn’t be hard for us to adapt to a new home though, as we lived with a baby and a dog (the dog was okay until he chased us, then he was canis non grata!), and mom said that I’m super friendly, love to chase laser lights and toys, lie near humans, and like treats (not too many though!). It’s a well-known fact that two cats double your fun, so if you’re up for it, let’s get started!

Hi… my name is Romeo,

RAINBOW BRIDGE 3-24-25

Adopted as an Official Greeter for TALGV Cat Wing 4-3-21

It would be great if they did dental implants for cats, but actually, having lost all of my teeth (due to an allergy to my own saliva), it doesn’t prevent me from eating. I still have a sore mouth occasionally, so need a small amount of pain medication mixed in with my food, and that really helps. My dad said that although I’m pretty quiet and laid back, I still love playing with string, catnip toys, and fetching balls (especially those crinkly things like foil balls and candy wrappers!). My dad’s health necessitated his relinquishing me, so I’m dreaming of a special someone (with no other cats!) with whom I can start life anew.

Hi… my name is Zena,

Adopted 9-21-20

Here’s mom’s summary of my life: “Zena was a very young mother, found on a ranch with three sick babies. She was malnourished and had an illness requiring special antibiotics. I adopted her after she recovered, and given her history, she’s still shy and doesn’t do well with other cats, so would be best as an only pet with an older, settled person. She loves her chin and tummy rubbed once she’s comfortable and is very, very loyal! She always thanked me for taking her in! Sadly, my health has declined, so I can no longer care for her, but I hope you’ll consider giving her the home she deserves.” (And I’ll add my two cents: “I hope so, too!”)

Hi… my name is June Bug,

Adopted 9-18-20

They really didn’t name me right: I am a little love bug! I am a four-year-old, small terrier mix who loves to cuddle and be petted. When I was found, my jaw was broken. But it is now healed up pretty well and doesn’t bother me at all anymore. I can eat kibble and wet food; I am just not allowed to have any hard bones or chew toys. I like to play and have fun with the volunteers here, and I really look forward to my walks. I also like meeting new people and to explore new areas. But when we get home, your lap would be my preferred place to be! Why don’t you call and make an appointment to meet me: we just may be made for one another!
