Hi… my name is Butterfly,

Adopted 4-23-20

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life

Picture this: You’ve lived happily with your mom all of your life. One day something bad happens to her and she’s gone. Strange people come into the house; plunk you into a scary cat carrier, and you end up in a noisy place with a slew of other cats. Think you’d be discombobulated? Uh huh! Well, despite that upheaval, I’m adjusting and craving attention, so I’ll bet it won’t take long in a new home for me to put all that behind me. Life has a way of taking so many twists and turns, so I hope you’ll be there to help me straighten them out! (Oh, BTW, I have Vet Care Support for Life!)

MAGNUM is a mellow and playful 1 ½-year-old, 60-pound, Bluetick Coonhound boy who needs a new home. He was rescued a short time ago but owner plans to move away and cannot take him. He is leash trained and crate trained; house training is in progress. He is well behaved but also needs obedience training. Magnum is playful and energetic. He is in good health but rescuer is unable to have him vetted at this time. He gets along especially well with small dogs and children; he is afraid of cats. Magnum can be shy with new people but he will be your loyal companion, especially if you give him lots of exercise.

There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome Magnum into a loving home as part of your family, please call Corrine between any time at 520-490-7587.

Hi… my name is Bella,

Adopted 4-21-20

I was found with burned paws and cactus needles in my coat. My kind finders brought me to TALGV, and, boy, this is a great place for lots of attention and yummy food! Now I’m spending time with Foster Mom, who says I am wonderful, sweet, and obedient. I know my Staffie look might sometimes be scary, but I am so gentle, especially when taking treats from you. I’ll alert you when I need to go out, and I can be trusted when left alone inside. My favorite activities include watching TV on the couch with you, lying in the sun, and watching people and their dogs walk by (without barking). Wouldn’t you love to have a beautiful, mellow girl like me? Please come visit me and see how much love I have to give.

Hi… my name is Reddit,

Adopted 5-28-20

I was brought into TALGV looking a little rough, so don’t judge the book by its cover. The folks here have been oohing and aahing over me since I got here. I am very people motivated, friendly, and definitely affectionate. I greet everyone coming in with gentle enthusiasm so they can get used to me. I know having that Staffie look sometimes scares folks, but once you meet me, I will definitely change your mind. I have gorgeous golden eyes and a caramel-colored coat with white markings. I am one lucky dog. I got the looks, the manners (except I don’t like cats and small dogs), and all the love you can handle all in one fabulous package. Now I just need my someone special to share all that love. Would that be you?

Hi… my name is Flute,

Adopted with Banjo 4-26-20

There’s “getting along great” bonding and then there’s “practically joined at the hip” bonding, and my boyfriend and protector, Banjo, and I are definitely in the latter category! When our mom’s asthma turned into pneumonia, our people decided that cat hair wasn’t the best thing for her to be exposed to, so we’re back at our alma mater looking to shine our light on someone else’s life. Mom said that I was very affectionate with her, got along fine with the small dog we lived with, but was a bit shy around strangers. I can’t imagine life without my best friend, so hope that you’ll let the two of us steal your heart together!

Hi… my name is Banjo,

Adopted with Flute 4-26-20

There’s “getting along great” bonding and then there’s “practically joined at the hip” bonding, and my girlfriend, Flute, and I are definitely in the latter category! When our mom’s asthma turned into pneumonia, our people decided that cat hair wasn’t the best thing for her to be exposed to, so we’re back at our alma mater looking to shine our light on someone else’s life. Mom said that I’m affectionate, playful (“sometimes rowdy” apparently!), love to play with crumpled paper (cheap toys!), and got along fine with the small dog we lived with. In my humble opinion, I can’t imagine what more you’d want from companions, so why not come let us steal your heart?

Hi… my name is Shadow (aka Peanut),

Adopted 4-3-20

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so why waste all those words when my picture is all you need. You will notice I’m a compact 5 ½-year-old Staffie mix gal; what you can’t see is I’m ADORABLE! My former owner of 6 months had to relocate immediately and couldn’t take me with him. He said I’m gentle, calm, love to cuddle and be around people. I’m leash and crate trained, and I ask to go out (or use the doggie door). I’m happy to sit for a tasty treat, and you could teach me so much more! At TALGV the volunteers pop in and visit, but what I would really like is a visit from you. Let’s not mince words; please adopt me and take me home.

Hi… my name is Elka (aka Sara),

Adopted 6-1-20

OK, OK, my bad. I “stalked and attacked” the dog (a Jack Russell no less), and although I thought it great sport, my people (and the dog!) didn’t quite agree, so after putting up with my mischief for a year, they decided I needed a home without any canines. I’m a beautiful Siamese and tabby mix with those gorgeous baby blues we’re known for, and although I can be shy with strangers, once I’m comfortable, dad said I’m really “nice to people” (I’m guessing he meant “as opposed to dogs”!). Well, there’s not much more I can confess to except that I’d love it if you’d give me another chance to prove I’m really a good girl!
