Hi… my name is Koris,

Adopted 4-11-20

Well, all I can say about my life so far is that it’s a bummer! I’ve lived here since I was a baby and been through the proverbial mill. I developed a mysterious limp (that I sometimes still have, but it doesn’t bother me), got ringworm, then the sniffles, then something else (they all run together!), and I was in isolation so long that I never got the TLC a kittens needs. So I’m still a bit shy, but now I’m healthy and learning to really LOVE attention and petting (I just need some encouragement!), and I know that in your home, I’ll shine just like the star I’m meant to be! Won’t you PLEASE give me a chance in a home of my own?

Hi… my name is Joey,

Adopted 3-21-20

Note: Joey is ready for new owner to finish his AKC Canine Good Citizen training.

A Gentle Giant. That’s what one of the volunteers called me. At 84 pounds, I’m a handsome black Staffie mix. I like everyone without reservation and my big goofy grin and beautiful eyes follow you everywhere. I’m also very aware of my size, so I won’t step on your toes while you are petting me. My friends at TALGV want you to know that I love to jump and climb, but I just know I love being around people and don’t like being left home alone. They also want you to know that I am ready for you to finish my Canine Good Citizen training. I love going for walks with you and even with other dogs and I’m very gentle. I like everyone, and I’ll find you wherever you go. Wouldn’t you like to have a gentle soul like me in your life?

Hi… my name is Suzie,

Adopted 12-7-19

In the Christmas movie, It’s a Wonderful Life, the little girl Susie tells us when a bell rings, an angel gets her wings. I didn’t hear any bells when I was born, but I have a pair of creamy angel wings imprinted on my tawny back! Another angel found me wandering in Madera Highlands and brought me here. I’m in fine shape, so I mustn’t have been lost very long. Volunteers say I’m friendly with children as well as adults and am good with other dogs. I look like a mix of Chihuahua and Dachshund and am about a year old. I enjoy my toys and taking walks. If you’d like a guardian angel in canine form, come adopt me and let’s have a wonderful life!

Hi… my name is Little One,

Adopted 12-7-19

There aren’t many combos that are more stunning than shiny black fur and 18-carat gold eyes, but maybe adding people-loving personality to that mix will put me over the top! I’m scratching my ears trying to figure out how my mom decided which of her three cats she had to relinquish (her landlord said two were the limit), so I’m guessing I’m just such a love she knew I’d win hearts and minds in no time. I love rubbing against you, crawling into things (just put a handbag on the floor and see!), and exploring everything, so I’ll bet your house has nooks and crannies galore (not to mention laps!) that’ll keep me occupied forever!

Hi… my name is Sunny,

Adopted 12-6-19

What traits are you looking for besides gorgeous? Playful, loving, friendly (with all creatures, great and small!), young, and, best of all, AVAILABLE! That’s me! They say (not to toot my own horn too much!) that I have the most amazing Torbie coat –marbled chocolate caramel set off by my topaz eyes – and that’s just the beginning. After searching the neighborhood for my owners, the lady who found me really wanted to keep me, but she had terrible allergies, so that precluded a long and happy life together for us. For YOU though, here I am – pert and pretty and ready to check out my new digs, just in time for a new year!
