Hi… my name is Doris,

Adopted 2-20-20

I’m so petite that when they first found me, they thought I was only a few months old. Well, what a surprise when they discovered I was pregnant! Happily, TALGV found a foster home for me while I had and raised my baby. It turns out I really am still a kitten after all (albeit a teenager at just under a year old), so now I’m half past ready to get on with the life I know I was meant to have. My foster people said that I’m a charming, sweet and affectionate lady who loves attention, so I’m hoping there’s someone right around the corner who’ll let me be the cat of their dreams.

Hi… my name is Starsky (aka Blue),

Adopted 10-20-19

All modesty aside, I’ve been told I am handsome, smart, and energetic with magnetic blue eyes! Need to hear more? I’m a young, affectionate Aussie Shepherd mix who enjoys playing fetch and will even drop my toy at your feet so we can keep the game going. I like people, other dogs, and – well – life! Take me for a car ride, or let’s go on a hike! I’m quick to follow all the commands I ‘ve been taught, plus I’m eager to learn more. I’m here at TALGV awaiting a new home because my first owners didn’t have the time and energy they thought I deserved. I’m a happy pup who wants to fill you up with the joy I can bring to our home!

Hi… my name is Spencer,

Adopted 7-1-20

Have you ever longed to be accepted and loved for who you really are? I’ve been living at TALGV for almost 3 years and still hope for the day when someone special comes, really sees me, and says, “Spencer, you’re coming home!” People walk by my door, give me a glance, see a black dog with a graying muzzle, and pass me by. What they don’t see is that I know my commands and have good house manners, am friendly and give big kisses. I love walks, car rides, playing “find the treat,” learning new commands, and taking a nap. I do, however, have a problem I just can’t seem to shake. Do you? Mine is aversion to other dogs. I will treasure the person who is willing to shield me, adopt me as their only dog, and love me as I am.

Hi… my name is Whiskey,

Adopted 11-5-19

If you are looking for a big, sweet and playful companion, I’m your dog! I haven’t met many strangers, so when you come to visit me, I may be a little nervous at first. But if you let me sniff your hand and give me a few minutes to get to know you, we can be best friends in no time! I especially like it when people scratch my butt, and I will gladly roll over for a tummy rub! I lived with my first family for the last six years. They said that I am housebroken, know sit and stay, and was gentle with their new baby. I’d like to find someone who will take time to play with me and take walks, but, most importantly, who will love me forever!

Hi… my name is Sarah,

Adopted with Remus 11-9-19

At the moment, my sister, Queenie, and I are doing our version of “Where’s Waldo?” as we’re really confused since we lost our home. We’re keeping a VERY low profile (you can usually find us behind some cubbies), but I’m sure once we realize that all will be well eventually, we’ll revert to our old selves. Since our dad’s fiancé is allergic to cats we couldn’t stay with him, but he said in “normal” times I’m a loving lady who’ll sit in your lap, rub against you, and ask to be petted. If you can help me adjust to a new life (maybe with Queenie too – that’d be awesome!), I promise to love you forever!

Hi… my name is Olivia,

Adopted 10-25-19

Abandoned and alone in the house with our brother after our human Mom died, my sister, Blanca, and I were rescued by an angel. She found our brother who died of starvation, and she took us in to comfort, love, and feed us. But her other big dogs weren’t happy with two Chihuahuas, so she brought us to TALGV. Understandably, at first we were petrified, but after just one day of nurturing by the volunteers, we started reclaiming our trust in people.  By the afternoon of that first day, we were sitting on their laps. We know how to use piddle pads, but we’re just learning about leashes. I’ve relied on Blanca throughout our ordeal, but I’m gaining independence. I’m eager to start life over, loving you, and trusting that I’ll never be abandoned again.

Hi… my name is Sami-John,

Adopted 1-25-20

What a rollercoaster I’ve been on! I was once a feral kitten who was trapped and neutered (thus my clipped ear), and the lovely people who rescued me worked with Paws Patrol to domesticate me. Well, it didn’t take all that long, because now I’m a gentle housecat who adores laps and rubs. Sadly, my family is now planning a motor home life, so they felt I’d have trouble adjusting to their new peripatetic lives. They said I loved to play with toys and my small doggie housemate, and although I’m sometimes slow to warm up, I’m very “interactive” and love attention. So just come sit with me a while and you’ll find out!
