Animal League News

Hi… my name is Lassiter,

Adopted 8-4-19

I am BIG, brown, and weigh about 100 pounds. Can you guess? I’ll give you a sec…time’s up! I appear to be a Rhodesian Ridgeback, about 21 months old. So I’m growing up, but still a big puppy with some things to learn, who’s also full of playfulness. You may find my tail is one of my most captivating features…trust me, it’s like a barometer of emotion! I also hope you’re favorably impressed by my impeccable genetic traits—handsome, muscular, and ready for the active life—and that you’re thinking it would be nice to have a big guy as your new best friend. I say, let’s tie the knot, and be lifelong besties.

Hi… my name is Emma,

Rainbow Bridge 10-3-22

OK, there’s no way to be absolutely positive, but people are 99.9% sure that I’m a rare Turkish Van (check out Animal Planet YouTube videos of us!). We’re known to be independent (check), attention seeking (check), and don’t particularly like to be picked up (ditto). Although I can be shy at first, I do like to be around people and will rub against your legs for attention in case you’re ignoring me or it’s time for dinner (I need to lose a bit of weight, so maybe I got rewarded for my rubbing more than I should!). I have extraordinary lemonade-colored eyes and a gentle nature, so let’s get together and talk about our future!

Ali

Hi… my name is Ali,

Adopted 8-31-19

You’ve probably already guessed it, but I’ll proudly say that since I’m a 6-year-old Boxer mix, I was named for that world-famous champion boxer, (Muhammad) Ali. He said he’d “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.” Well, I don’t have much of a sting, but I do like to entertain in my own way–which is perfectly understandable since I was found in the area of Desert Diamond Casino. I can entertain you if you give me the chance to demonstrate my strong and muscular body at our hopeful meet and greet. Even though I may show off, once in a while I do love to reveal my nice and gentle side. I don’t believe being here at TALGV is a bad thing. I just “don’t count the days… make the days count.” Let’s meet!

Hi… my name is Lovey (aka Lady),

Adopted 6-21-19

I may be a Blue Heeler, but my exterior reveals black and white. Cute, right! I may have a rough exterior, but they don’t call me lovey for nothing. Some say I live up to my name; they say I am a true love. Even though I may not be the friendliest at first, I sure do have a place for your love. If you ever have a hard time, I can add my “healer” skill to make you better, but I can’t promise that I will be the best around other dogs. According to my previous owner, I am presently an Olympic jumper and can compete in chewing and digging contests. I always have room for improvement to retire from Olympic training and competition. Come visit me soon to see my lovey side reveal itself.

PS Yes, those are my baby photos at the end of the gallery.
