Hi… my name is Ginger,

Adopted January 3, 2016

Four pounds. In this big world, I’m about as little as a dog can be, but that’s okay. I’m happy being me, although I’ve suddenly found myself without a home! My person moved and couldn’t take me and that’s tough, but I’ll just go on being the best little me I can be. I’m 8 years old and my tongue hangs out because my teeth are gone, but that doesn’t stop me from eating. When you’re just 4 pounds, you don’t miss any meals. The person who left me said I was “a gentle dog, loving, loyal and calm,” and TALGV volunteers can’t say enough good things about me. I say I need someone who loves to cuddle and keep company with a little one. If that’s you, oh, please come see me today!

RUFUS is a sweet and handsome 5-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback who needs a new home because owners no longer have time for his care and exercise. He weighs about 75 pounds, is neutered, and his shots are up to date. He is fully house broken, leash and crate trained, and loves car rides. Rufus rarely barks, loves to play (especially with other dogs), and knows heel and sit. He is especially social and loves people. There is no adoption fee for this wonderful boy.

If you would welcome Rufus into a loving home, please call Anna between 8 AM and 8 PM at 602-318-7061.

Hi… my name is Precious,

Adopted January 21, 2016

So you say you’re looking for an affectionate lap cat? Well, do I have a deal for you! All you need to do is even make a move toward me, and I’ve got my neck stretched up so that you can scratch me under the chin, around my ears, on top of my head — oh, just about anywhere! Since I lived with my senior (human) mom and my brother all my life, I’ve really gotten used to attention from everyone, so I’m eager to move on from here (yes, it’s nice, but it’s not “home”!) where I can fill your house with joy and we can all “feel the love.” I’m betting that would be the best way to start the New Year for everyone!

Hi… my name is China,

Adopted May 30, 2016

China has earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.

When people say I’m a beautiful dog, I enjoy the attention. But even better is making that human-dog connection. It probably helps that I’m friendly, calm, and reliable. Like when we go for walks—count on me to “stop” or “heel,” and although I can trot, I’m content to just mosey if you like. Tell me “sit,” “stay,” “down,” or “shake,” and I know what to do. Toss a toy and I’ll race for it. When I was rescued, life was serious because I had three puppies. Now they have homes and I’m free to enjoy good times with you. (That could include belly rubs, right?) I’m a happy, white and brindle American Bulldog mix female, about 70 pounds, and I know we could have a beautiful future together. How about we meet today!

Hi… my name is Mason,

Adopted September 18, 2016

Looking for a “real pistol?” Well, that would be me — but I’ve got a lot more to offer, too! My mom passed away after having had me for only a few months, and although her good-hearted friend was going to take me, her job required lots of travel, so she felt I needed to have someone who would have more time to appreciate my oh-so-special qualities. She said I’m a gentle (but occasionally nibbly) guy who got along with her Yorkie, loved to play with string, catnip mice, and follow laser lights. I’m not the least bit picky in the food department and will “eat anything” — so fussy isn’t in my vocabulary (although telling you how much I enjoy your company is!). Need more encouragement? Come visit me; you’ll see!

Hi… my name is Andre.

Adopted December 28, 2015

A short while ago, when I was lost and on my own, I didn’t have time for fun. I had to focus on trying to find what a dog needs every day. Guess I had my nose to the ground because suddenly there was a kind gentleman telling me that I was headed in the direction of the mountains, which was not my wisest choice. Instead, he recommended TALGV, which was great advice. My friends here provide food, water and shelter, and I’m free to practice my doggie skills and have a whole lot of fun. Turns out I’m really good at playing, being a friend, and sometimes even smiling! I’m a young, eager-to-please, brown Lab mix male, who’s hoping to meet you real soon. I think we could be real happy together.
