Hi… my name is Tulip,

Adopted March 1, 2016

Aw, phooey! I really thought my life was set when my mom and dad adopted me as a kitten, but when she went into the hospital and then needed longer-term care, dad just wasn’t able to keep up with the needs an active “flower child” too. He said that I really loved playing with catnip, toys on strings, and that I adored perching on my cat tree to keep an eagle eye on the world. Like all youngsters, I like to explore things “up there” (like cabinets and countertops), but a water bottle spritz or a clicking noise usually gets my attention if you’re not into indulging me in those sorts of hijinks! I’m a beguiling 9-month-old girl who just wants to share the things that make life with a feline so enchanting!

Hi… my name is Vinnie,

Adopted January 13, 2016

The TALGV volunteers say I’m such a sweet and affectionate guy, they don’t even want to think about those lonely days when I was lost and wounded. I agree! Instead, let’s talk about how I was rescued and brought to TALGV. Here, they’ve taken care of me and recognized what a great dog I am. I’m fun-loving and “tuned in” to my human friends, eager to make that dog-and-person connection. They say they can see it in my eyes, which I imagine is true because I’m completely focused on the person being kind to me. I’m a 2-year-old, 61-pound Staffie mix male, mainly white with some really cool black markings, especially around one eye (kind of like Petey in Little Rascals), and I would truly love to start a happy new chapter with you.

Tia

Adopted December 1, 2015

TIA is cute and sweet 6-pound, Chihuahua female who needs a new home for economic reasons. She loves attention, lap sitting and walking on a leash. Tia is crate trained and was trained to use a doggie door. She has been spayed and shots are up to date. Tia is rather shy and would be best as only dog, but she would be a wonderful companion dog for adults. There is no adoption fee. If you would welcome Tia into a loving home as part of your family, please call Mary Ellen between 8 AM and 8 PM at 520-603-4441.

Hi… my name is Cali,

Adopted November 11, 2015

When you hang around places where “animal people” are, you’re probably going to get lucky and find a softhearted person to take you in! Well, that’s what happened with me, when I appeared at the stables where my rescuer rides — she just couldn’t leave without me! Although she couldn’t keep me forever, she did have me for six weeks and said that I’m totally curious, playful, and love chasing anything on the floor (toys, crumpled paper, pens, eraser tops, or even uncooked spaghetti pieces!). She said although I’m a bit independent, I’m very “people interactive” and like to check out laps (sometimes sleeping in them, sometimes not!) and give nose rubs. I’m a young “drop-dead-gorgeous” calico who’ll definitely charm the socks off you in about, oh, ten seconds or so!

Hi… my name is Kush,

Adopted December 9, 2015

I’m so glad there’s TALGV – a place where good dogs can go when they need a home. I’m one of those dogs; a 2-year-old black Lab mix male, whose rescuers could not keep me because they already had other dogs and cats. My good qualities include being loyal, loving, good-natured and eager to please. Must admit I’m not exactly a lap dog because I’m about 60 pounds, but if you’ll cuddle with me, you’ll make my day. I’ve been around cats, dogs and horses, so I’m generally critter-friendly, but I’m really hoping to make friends with a person who will give me my forever home. I have a big heart and always the best intentions, and if you have the same, we should take the happy trails together! Please come see me soon.
