Both adopted October 9, 2015

NINA and MINDY are energetic, loving, smart, and sweet 6-month-old purebred (no papers) female Boxers who need a new home because owner can no longer keep. They should be adopted together as they are very bonded. They are housebroken and crate trained and are working on leash training. At 36 pounds they are growing fast and need a family that can devote more time to their training (already know sit and stay). Mindy and Nina are healthy girls who are spayed and up to date on shots. They have had limited contact with children and cats are unknown. There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome Mindy and Nina into a loving home as part of your family, please call Jim between 8 AM and 8 PM at 520-444-2782.

TENON and MORTISE were named by former carpenter, but they are more likely to respond to terms such as “baby” and “kitty.” They are beautiful and social 5-year-old female almost identical gray tabby twins who need a new home due to owner’s allergy to them. They are spayed, shots are up to date, and they have had a recent full health check. They have no experience with children but have adapted to large dogs in their home. Both girls like petting but Tenon is more of a cuddler and a “velcro” cat who likes to wake you up in the morning. They are 11 to 12 pounds each and owner would prefer they be adopted together if possible. There is no adoption fee for these sweet cats. If you would welcome Mortise and/or Tenon into your family, please call Rick between 8 AM and 8 PM at 520-307-9259.

Hi… my name is KC Girl.

Adopted April 27, 2016

KC Girl Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

My dad adopted me from TALGV ten years ago when I was five and my life with him (and a young cat) was peachy keen until he decided he wanted to travel. Now there are some cats who’ll say, “Yay — let’s go” (well not too many actually!), but at my age, I guess I wasn’t up to it and wanted to just “be me” in my own familiar surroundings. Dad said that I love being brushed, will let you clip my front claws, and sleep pretty much wherever I want. I do need to trim down a smidge, but that’s only a matter of less food and fewer treats (and maybe some exercise?) — just like humans, so won’t you give this perfectly seasoned lady one more chance?

Hi… my name is Edgar,

Adopted November 5, 2015

Trust me, you don’t even want to see my “before” pictures (actually, they’d probably give you a really good idea just how far I’ve come)! I was found in front of a home in Sahuarita, with a huge open wound on my side, a weeping sore on my mouth, and “lesser” injuries everywhere; I was one dirty, sad, and scraggly critter, I’ll tell you! Well, the weeks have gone by and I’ve had all sorts of treatments (my caregivers said, “Edgar is one of the sweetest cats we’ve ever had.  Even with all his injuries and the trauma he has been through, he loves attention and rubs up against you to get it”), and am well on the road to recovery. Why not let me experience pure heaven and celebrate convalescing with you?

Hi… my name is Shale (aka Shadow).

Adopted November 10, 2015

I’m such a sleek and gorgeous girl that you can hardly tell the difference between the “before I had my babies” pictures when I arrived and now! Despite having been told I was a great mother, I’m really happy now to be on my own and ready to move on in life! I’m a 2-year-old girl who lived with a family (with six kids!), another cat, and several dogs (so you know I’m really laid back!), but the newest baby had terrible allergies, so the family couldn’t keep me any longer. Truth be told, maybe it’s a good thing I came to TALGV, since now that my children are off on their own, I won’t be adding to the feline population any longer and will be ready to love only YOU!

Sam

Hi… my name is Sam,

Adopted October 10, 2015

If you’re looking for “big, old softies,” come meet me! I was adopted in December 2014 but am now back at TALGV through no fault of my own. Last year I was found on Sahuarita Road, and I’ve got to tell you it’s sure swell being out of harm’s way and getting three squares a day! I’m a “glutton for attention” they say, and despite my size, I’m really an “easy walker.” I’m a black, 90-pound, Mastiff mix, and have a squiggly tail that will enchant you as much as my personality. I know that any family that has a home with space for a big guy like me will be all the happier with me in it! You just have to meet me to find out!

PS Thanks to recent owner for providing “goofy” photos of Sam.

Arrived November 14, 2014; Adopted December 26, 2014; Arrived October 2, 2015.
