Hi… my name is Topsy,

Adopted November 7, 2015

When I first arrived with my friend Turvy, everyone thought we were kittens we were so small. Well, size doesn’t always tell the whole story, as apparently we’d both had babies of our own (just goes to remind you that we felines can have kittens any time after six months of age, so spay, spay, spay!!), but it turned out I’m actually about a year old (but certainly still fit the “kitten” category!). We were wandering the Los Arroyos neighborhood and were taken care of by a nice lady who kept our babies but just couldn’t manage us, too. I’m a beautiful combination of Siamese and silver tabby, and if you think a small, blue-eyed charmer would fit your life style (and lap!) then I’m the “real deal”!

Hi… my name is Dinah,

Adopted September 10, 2015

Dinah comes with Free Vet Care for Life.

Divorce ended my happy home. I’d been a very good dog for years, but now I’m on my own again, yearning for the comfort of a loving someone. Fortunately, I’ve lots to recommend me. According to my former owner, I’m good with horses, dogs, and children ages 5 to 20. I’m truly beautiful, thanks to being a “pure Aussie;” that is, an Australian Shepherd, with a coat that’s black, tan and white. I’m an 8-year-old female, 64 pounds, and I come with Free Vet Care for Life! Maybe best of all, I’m a gentle, peaceful soul, who’s happiest just sharing quiet times with you. Won’t you please come for a visit and watch for the smile that comes easily to me when I have your company? We could be a perfect match for happiness.

Hi… my name is Nellie,

Adopted October 3, 2015

When TALGV volunteers ask me how such an adorable dog was found wandering and alone, I must say I don’t know. And then I thank them for saying I’m adorable. I do my best! I love to play and truly love people attention. If you’ll let me, I’ll sit on your lap and give you lots of Beagle attention in return. The folks who found me said I was good with new people, kids (4 and 6 years old) and animals (they had 2 dogs, both bigger than me). I may be cute, thanks very much, but most of all I’m eager to be your friend. At 30 pounds, I’m a cuddle-friendly size; tan and white, and about 4-1/2 years old. I bet we’ll find each other adorable, so please let’s meet!

Hi… my name is Penn,

Adopted September 26, 2015

If you’re looking for more fun than a barrel of monkeys, just come in and visit me and all the other guys in the “kitten room”! You may think you’ve got heroic restraint, but we’ll convince you otherwise in no time! My brother, Jeremy, and I were found in a gutter along Sahuarita Boulevard when we were only 2 weeks old, so were cared for by a foster mom until we were well and old enough to be adopted. Well, you’d never know we’d gone through that ordeal because we’re the most outgoing, living-life-to-the-limit kids you’ll ever meet! I’m an orange tabby boy with the spirit of a lion and the personality of a cuddle bug, so why not make me part of your life?

Hi… my name is Argo,

Adopted February 13, 2016

My sister, Allie, and I were found wandering together, starving, each with evidence of having been hit with pellets. Imagine how grateful we were to the woman who took us in, and how happy she was to discover that despite our past troubles, we are both friendly dogs. With 7 animals already, she couldn’t keep us, and so our journey has now brought us to TALGV. I’m a 2-year-old Boxer mix male, black and tan, about 55 pounds. If you like to play, I’m your guy! And since I’m so interested in you and eager to be your friend, you’ll probably have fun teaching me what I need to know to be even better. Please let me show you the fun I can add to your safe and loving home.

Hi… my name is Buddy,

Adopted September 27, 2015

Buddy comes with Free Vet Care for Life.

Here’s what the photographer said about me when she took my pictures: “This cat is very sweet, very large, and very beautiful!” And my dad (who had “landlord issues”) said that I’m super friendly, exceptionally good-natured and loving, and extremely talkative (so be careful that I don’t “take advantage” and smother you with love!). Because of my plush coat, I need to be brushed every day to keep me looking my best (but I love it!). I like variety of food: dry (except Science Diet!), Friskies canned, and (yum!) boiled chicken legs. Unfortunately I’ve tested positive for FIV, but could well live a long, perfectly healthy life. I come with Free Vet Care for Life, so if you’re in the market for a real “participatory” kind of companion, here I am!

Hi… my name is Sakura,

Adopted September 11, 2015

My dad adopted me shortly after I arrived at TALGV in 2014 and said that I’ve been very loving and a great companion who got along well with his other two cats, but since three were more than the HOA allowed (he really hoped no one would notice!), he reluctantly brought me back. He said that I was both playful and independent (you never know when those “gotta chase everything” moods will strike!), and loved to sleep on a living room chair or couch with him. I’m a petite, declawed, snowy Siamese mix lady with haunting lime-green eyes and winning ways, so I’ll bet if you’re looking for a gal who’ll give you that special “feel the love” vibe, I’m it! Come on down and meet me!

Hi… my name is Zoey,

Adopted October 8, 2015

You may notice my beautiful coat first, the interesting black, grey and white combination. That’s probably thanks to being a Belgian Malinois/Heeler mix, two beautiful breeds. Please notice, too, that I’m still a young girl, just 7 months old, active and eager with lots to learn. When my owner had to move and could not take me, she gave me to someone else, but that didn’t work for either of us. So now I’m here, hoping another someone with love and patience will take me home. I know “sit” and “shake,” and TALGV volunteers are teaching me other things, like how to walk on a leash. I love to play in rain and water from the hose and have a very sweet side, too. Could you be the one I’m longing to meet?
