Animal League News

Hi… my name is Hugo,

I was left to wander around outside and became very thin. I needed help, and a nice person found me and brought me here after she couldn’t locate my owner. I’m enjoying the company of other cats and really like to play. I’m a busy boy! But I do have my calm times when I like to be petted. My coat is gorgeous and looks especially nice after a good brushing. I’m still somewhat lean, with long legs, but a chubby nose. If you’re looking for an active companion, you need look no further. Come meet me and you’ll see! Especially if you have toys.

If you are considering adoption, stop in at TALGV to meet me soon. Or you may call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make an appointment. Kennel hours are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Sunny,

Adopted 12-7-24

One friendly, calm boy I am! If you need me to sit beside you while you work at your computer, I will. I will make biscuits as you pet me. I appreciate human attention, but I won’t bother you; I promise! I moved from California to Arizona, both sunshine states so maybe that’s how I got my name. My humans had to bring me to The Animal League due to landlord issues. I’m a hefty guy who appreciates my comfy bed or a high perch where I can observe life. Meet me and you’ll be singing, “Sunny, bright days are here, my sunny one shines so sincere. Sunny, one so true, I love you!”

Hi… my name is Queenie,

Adopted 11-24-24

I arrived at TALGV right after being found in the same area as my puppies. I was very shy but am now coming out of my shell. I’m done being a mom; now I have fun doggy friends and a bright future as a single lady. I am very sweet, which everyone can tell by the full-body wiggle I give when I see one of my friends. I prefer quiet walks and naps at home to loud areas—even though I walk well on the leash, cars scare me a bit. I may be a little quiet at first, but once I get to know you, you can expect plenty of love and loyalty from me. If you have a warm doggy bed and an open heart, I’d love to be your new best friend.

Hi… my name is Amos,

TO FOSPICE CARE 11-22-24 / RAINBOW BRIDGE 4-4-25

COMES WITH VET CARE SUPPORT FOR LIFE

As you know, dogs like to have a job. Right now, as an elderly dog living my golden days, my job is to tell you about fospice. If that’s a new word to you, let me explain. Fospice is a combination of the words “foster” and “hospice.” It’s a temporary home (I won’t be adopted) where end-of-life care and comfort are provided. That’s the concise definition, but the word means so much more to me. It means I feel love and tenderness every day, and I’m safe and important to someone. I may not have many more precious days yet to come, but whatever my future holds, this is what I know for sure: I will not face it alone. My fospice person will be with me. And so for me, most of all, fospice means love.

Hi… my name is Clover,

Adopted 1-3-25

They say, “the third time’s the charm” and I’m hoping so. As a kitten I was adopted along with another cat. We shared a good life with our humans until they could no longer care for us. My second home was with a senior lady whose health issues caused me to return to The Animal League. I’m resilient! Friendly and playful, I enjoy human companionship. Sitting in the cat tree watching all that’s going on is my favorite pastime. I’m a lovable, handsome lad who’s waiting for his third home.  Will you give me a chance to add pizzazz to your life? I’m waiting for you: my next human(s) to love me!

If you are considering adoption, stop in at TALGV to meet me soon. Or you may call TALGV office (520-625-3170) and make an appointment. Kennel hours are between 10 and 2 every day.

Hi… my name is Sphynx,

Adopted with Nala Lala 12-14-24

If you want a bonded pair of friendly felines, have I got a deal for you! My sister Nala Lala and I were brought to The Animal League when our human’s premature grandson was born and became allergic to cats. We had lived with our human for several years and got along fine with her three older grandchildren. I’m a loving cat who loves to play and roll over for petting. My human said I “talked” and was “precious.” Indeed, I have an amazing personality! Please meet me to see for yourself. Nala Lala and I will win you over in no time! Twice the joy we will provide you!

Hi… my name is Nala Lala,

Adopted with Sphynx 12-14-24

My brother Sphynx has a deal for you: adopt us both for joy and companionship. I quite agree, although I’m shy and may hide in a corner until I feel safe with you. But trust me, I love to be petted and brushed, but I don’t like to be picked up. I can be very loving, cuddled next to you. My favorite napping places: on my human’s bed, on my cat tower, or under the bed. I got along with several grandchildren in my home, but when the premature grandchild was born, allergies flared. So here we are, Sphynx and me, just waiting for you. Please welcome us into your home!
