They say nothing lasts forever, but I really hoped that life with mom and my feline friends would be the exception. She became bedridden a while back, and after her husband died, she wasn’t able to care for all of us on her own. I know once I adjust to a world without them, things will come right, but at the moment, I’m trying to get used to my new surroundings. Also, we didn’t have a lot of visitors in our home, so it may take me a while to open up, but once I do, hold on to your hat! That said, I hope you agree it’s time I deserve a new shot at life!

I’m an affectionate, happy, and friendly senior lady that comes with Vet Care Support for Life. My foster parents are helping find me a wonderful home to spend my retirement. Since I became hard of hearing, they’ve been working on hand signals with me. Some loud noises, like clapping, get my attention and of course, treats always work. When I need to go out I will come to get you. That also works when I’m ready to eat. Speaking of eating, I really enjoy my food warmed up in the microwave. Jasper is a sweet, quiet, and well-behaved 16-year-old, 17-pound Yorkshire terrier mix boy that needs a new home. He is housebroken and leash trained. He is in good health, is neutered and up to date on shots, but he has no teeth and cataracts cause limited vision. Jasper likes attention (and treats) but he is not a lap dog. He tolerates other dogs and cats if they leave him alone. He prefers to be around his adult owner and likes to know that his food, water and bed are nearby. I was found, along with my daughter, Morgan, roaming around a local neighborhood. I must admit, living rough was really hard for two gentle girls like us. Morgan was even attacked by a cactus. Then we were both rescued. When I first arrived at TALGV, I became the center of attention. I guess my short Basset body and my Shar Pei face pulled on the volunteers’ heartstrings. Naturally, I was lapping it up and spreading my attention and affection around. I know how to use the doggie door and I enjoy going for walks. I’m always happy to greet everyone who comes to visit. Just think, with just one phone call, you too could visit and your visit could very well become my forever home. See you soon!
