Hi… my name is Mama Poof,

Adopted 12-8-19

“These are a bunch of really nice, sweet cats.” That’s what the volunteers said when we came to TALGV from Pima Animal Control Center because they were so overcrowded. We were all lucky that there was space for us here, but I must admit going through the intake “rigmarole” at both places really left us a bit confused (but you can be certain we’re well vetted!). I’m a petite, chin-scratch-loving, 14-month-old youngster with a delightful white “poof” on my nose (thus my name, of course!) and I hope that my days of not being sure where I’m going to wake up in the morning are behind me, because that place will always be with you!

Hi… my name is Muishka,

Adopted 7-2-20

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life

You mightn’t know it, but being held is not usually a “thing” for cats, mainly because we’re insecure when not “in control.” Gentle head scratches is right up there in the “yes” department though, so if you don’t have an overwhelming urge to embrace, I might be for you! Looks though? That’s a big “yes”! Vet care support for life? Another “yes.” Other animals? That’s a big “NO”! I lived with my dad all of my 11 years, but when he moved in with his new wife and her menagerie, well, life wasn’t that bed of roses I’d signed on for, so now’s the time to help me start anew as your one and only!

Hi… my name is Snoop,

Adopted 12-1-19

Before coming here, my life changed and even became kind of scary! My former people moved away and left me alone in the yard with my canine buddy, King. (King and I are probably related and are definitely friends.) Fortunately, the TALGV volunteers have given me time to realize that they are going to feed us, take care of us, and show us how much fun people can be. (I gladly learned the regular food thing right away, and the fun part came quickly, too.) I’m a Shepherd mix male; new friends tell me I’m quite handsome, and although I don’t notice it much, they seem to especially like my curly tail. As a young, very friendly, easy-going guy in medium-size package, I’d love to be your happy, active, loyal best pal.

Hi… my name is King,

Before coming here, my life changed and even became kind of scary! My former people moved away and left me alone in the yard with my canine buddy, Snoop. (Snoop and I are probably related and are definitely friends.) Fortunately, the TALGV volunteers have patiently let me figure out that they’re going to feed us, take care of us, and show us how much fun people can be. I’m learning how to trust people and to love being safe and cared about. I’m a handsome Shepherd mix male, a kind of stocky build at around 50 pounds, and although I like to relax, my ears are always in the alert position—you might think “radar ears!”  Going for walks and training is fun, but most of all, I want to be your pal.

Hi… my name is Spike,

Adopted with Charcoal 1-25-20

“He’s friendly and happy to lie on the couch beside you. He likes toys, kids, other cats, and dogs. He purrs rather loudly when he’s happy (like the sleek panther he looks like!), and will lie on the floor with his legs stretched out behind him.” That’s what mom said about me when she very sadly had to relinquish my housemate and me because of her ill health. We’d both spent our lives with her (we were TALGV kitten “alumnae”), so my dreams are filled with visions of a new home where I’ll be fifty shades of lucky and have another family who’ll cherish me just as much as mom did.

Hi… my name is Muffy,

Adopted 7-11-20

Oh, the vagaries of life! My sister, Fluffy, and my other housemates, Sneakers and Socks, lost our home because our dad had too many pets and couldn’t find anyone to care for us when he traveled. We lived happily with the whole family, which included a dog, so I really miss having the company of humans and other critters to play with. Dad said that although initially I can be kinda shy, once I warm up, I love petting (I can turn my head upside down for you!), and I can promise I’ll do all I can to win your attention. So come claim one of the sweetest gals in the world for yourself!
