BIG BOY is a mellow and energetic 4 ½-year-old, 65-pound, Blue Tick Coon Hound boy who needs a new home. He was rescued a few months ago but owner will be moving away and cannot take him. He is leash trained and house trained. He is well behaved and knows sit and stay. Big Boy is playful and energetic, likes hikes and enjoys car rides. He is in good health, neutered and up to date on shots. He gets along with other dogs, cats, and children. Big Boy is sometimes shy with new people but he will be your loyal companion. I’m one of ten puppies in the “Zodiac litter.” We appear to be a Lab/Catahoula mix born on November 6, 2019, and released to TALGV on January 13, 2020. I’m a little boy and probably have Labrador in my parentage. Labahoulas are considered friendly and affectionate from the Lab, and protective and highly active from the Catahoula side. According to descriptions of Labahoulas, we can be expected to be 50 – 95 pounds, in need of space and exercise, consistent training, and socialization.

When you’ve been left on the street after both your people die, life can be pretty terrifying. Why do some folks think that cats (and dogs too!) can “make it” out there on their own? We’ve been domesticated creatures for a long time, and we really NEED you humans! At any rate, that’s where my housemate, Sky, and I found ourselves so it’s taking some time to adjust and learn to trust again. But that I will, and when I do, you’ll find that I’m going to be the most grateful, loving guy in the world and at a mellow 7 years of age, there’ll be lots of time to share our stories!
