Hi… my name is Kimmie,

Adopted 9-7-19

I must say it gets mighty discouraging when your people move and leave you behind! First my mom moved and gave me to her mother. Then she moved and couldn’t keep me either, so what’s a girl to do? Just hope that my next family will keep me no matter where they go! It’s not like I take up a lot of space – I give “petite” new meaning – and I’m just as sweet as I am tiny. At first you might not think I’m part Persian, but when you see my profile, yep, there’s that slightly squished nose! And we’re known for being real “people cats,” so you’d be getting the real deal with me!

Hi… my name is Honey Bun,

Adopted 9-25-19

I’m a sweet 61-pound terrier girl with a big love of people and other dogs. A kind man found me loping along near Anamax Park, and he brought me here to TALGV. He had kept me overnight, and said I was a friendly pooch. He found out I knew how to “sit,” “shake hands,” and “lie down.” Already I’m a favorite with the volunteers, and I’m enjoying a doggie roommate. Here I’ve demonstrated how affectionate I am, and how much I like to have splashy fun in water, even if it’s only a water bowl. I walk like a perfect lady on leash – I don’t pull, and I don’t jump up on people when I greet them. Come and see me, and you’ll find your next best friend and honey bun.

Hi… my name is Zoey,

Adopted 12-1-19

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life.

I have lived with my people, three small dogs and two cats since I was just a puppy. I sure miss them, being alone in this kennel, but I look forward to going out with the volunteers every day. I am already 13 years old, but I still love life and because of my age, I come with Vet Care Support for Life! They say, I am well behaved and walk nicely on a leash. I can’t hear anymore, but I pay close attention and try to do what I’m told. I would like to play fetch with you or just lay on a blanket and be petted. I love children and people say I’m very gentle with them, but, really, I love everybody! How about we grow older together?

Hi… my name is Charlie,

Adopted 10-2-19

My first Mom of four years said I “love all people, big or tiny,” get along with cats and dogs, and am gentle with kids. When she had to move, I comforted her when she cried. I loved my second home, too, but my Dad got very sick. I’m a black Lab mix with a little white bib and a heart of gold. I’d like to sit in your lap but at 62 pounds, I’ll settle for cuddling. I like to play, especially with a Kong toy, and I’ll have fun showing you how I can crawl, shake hands (paws), sit, wait, and whatever else you want me to learn. I listen and mind my manners. I love a puffy bed and my own blanket, but most of all, I’ll love my new family.

Hi… my name is Spats,

Adopted 8-24-19

A word from foster family:

SPATS has been the shyest of the group since day one. The first days in foster found her crouched behind the toilet, nervous and distrustful. But now? We truly think that she will be the most loyal and affectionate cat of them all! She has learned that humans are actually pretty awesome and she always wants to be near them. She is also one of the most playful and energetic of the bunch. She especially loves to carry toys around in her mouth. Spats has a very loud purr!

Hi… my name is Adam,

Adopted 8-24-19

Another Chihuahua, Eve, and I were lost on Sahuarita Road—two little dogs in great big trouble! A busy road on one side and the unknown on the other left us with no safe place to go. Thank heavens, a kind person spotted us and brought us here. In this new place with strangers, we were scared and shy at first. But I’m feeling much better now, making new friends, and sometimes when I nap, I have a big dream. You probably know what it’s about—a cozy, comfy home, where I’m safe and get to play and cuddle with my person. I’m a young Chihuahua mix male, black and beige, just 10 pounds, and friends say I have the sweetest face ever. Could you be the one to make my dream come true?

Hi… my name is Lana (aka Luna),

Adopted 9-20-19

Who doesn’t love a pretty face? Well, I’ve got that and so much more! I’m a gentle girl who loved the kids, meeting new people, schmoozing with my feline housemate, and, according to my mom, am very “mild tempered.” My problem was that I didn’t get along with the “man of the house” and showed my displeasure in a most unladylike manner. I guess sometimes people just rub you the wrong way (but who knows, maybe I wasn’t totally to blame!), so the price I paid was losing the rest of the family. I know in my heart that I’ll make a great addition to your family, so a chance is all I ask.

Hi… my name is T-Rex,

Adopted 9-1-19

Every dog is unique, but I’m a little “uniquer.” Okay, maybe not uniquer (since there’s no such thing) but special—big ears, short legs, and my own friendly, lovable personality. Plus, even with the extra pounds I’m carrying around (and working on losing), I’m a pretty dapper little guy in my tuxedo black and white coat. I came here when my former people moved to a place where dogs aren’t allowed. We’d been together for five years and they reported that I was housetrained, leash-trained (the volunteers here agree), okay with cats (!), gentle and tolerant with a 15-year-old human. And if you look into my eyes, you’ll see that I’m deeply interested in you—hoping that we can be fast friends. I know you’re special, too, so we could be very good together.
