Sometimes you wonder how pet names are selected, don’t you? Well, odd name or not, I’m one snuggly, affectionate 3-year-old boy who’ll make your day just that much brighter when I’m part of it. I was found in Phoenix several years ago, then migrated to Rio Rico where my family finally decided they had too many pets. I’m playful (as befitting my young age), thrive on attention, and will do anything for treats! I’ve lived with four Chihuahuas, a Poodle, and five cats (including my friend, Inkblot, who’s here also), and am gentle with kids, so with just a bit of settling in time, I’ll be the best addition to your life ever!

Well, thank heavens for small miracles – at least they didn’t name me “Rorschach!” Actually, I guess it’s a fairly apt name as I AM a lovely combination of black and white “inkblots,” so it’s a pretty fair description. But in addition to my lovely fur (which also comes from being part Himalayan they say), I’m a sweet 3-year-old lady who just loves being petted, am playful (as befitting my young age), and thrive on attention. Once upon a time, I was rescued from a big highway, and I’ve been a lively, active guy ever since. I’m happily entertained with squeaky toys and balls, but have been hesitant around strangers, and need time to get acquainted and trust new people. On the other hand, I positively thrived in the foster home environment. Foster mom reported I learned how to interact with two other dogs, rode beautifully in the car, stayed off her furniture, and was housetrained. I didn’t even try to steal the remote! Friends say I’m smart, energetic, and have pleased the patient, understanding people who care about me. Will you let me make you a proud dog parent?

I was adopted from TALGV 8-1/2 years ago (when I was 3), and the only reason I’m back is because my beloved person died. I like to think she’d be pleased with the nice things people say about me here—that I’m very friendly, lovable, and “seem younger than my stated age.” Even on my intake exam—temperature-taking and everything—the medical folks said I was cheerful, totally cooperative, and an “absolutely wonderful dog.” Being an 11-1/2-year-old Shepherd/Doberman mix female, (who comes with Free Vet Care for Life!), I’ve learned some important things, like how to walk on a leash, “ask” to go outside, and, best of all, how to appreciate and love my person with my whole heart. So here’s my big question: May I please have a forever place in your heart?

I’m betting you’ve heard “the ayes have it” after an affirmative vote, so I’m here to tell you that in my case, “the EYES have it!” Their gorgeous sea-green color makes my glossy black fur just pop, so whoever designed me sure had “wow!” in mind! Spending time outdoors is pretty much always fun for humans, but for me it was mighty scary until I was rescued, so a safe home, a warm lap, yummy food and love galore will put all my fears of the wild to rest. I’m only about 2 years old and a total lovebug, so I’m dreaming of spending all the rest of the many I have ahead with you!

My finder wasn’t shopping for a black Lab at a local thrift store, but that’s where she found me! Hard to believe I was just left behind, but I had neither collar nor microchip, so I was good and truly lost. A 5-year-old female, about 64 pounds, I got along with my finder’s other dogs, but chased her cat. Other than that, she gave me lots of good reports—said I’m housebroken, people-friendly, smart, affectionate, and very sweet. Three kids visited, ages 4 to 10, and I was okay with them, too. Mind you, when first here, I was pretty anxious and some new dogs made me nervous. But human kindness and affection can work wonders. Today, I dare to dream that someone will choose me as their loving companion—someone wonderful like you!
