Hi… my name is Pepper,

Adopted September 9, 2016

Thanks for looking at my pictures. My biography is under construction. Please stop back again to read about me or… even better… stop in at TALGV to meet me soon. Kennels are open 10-2 every day.

Hi… my name is Skittles,

Adopted September 23, 2016

Could I get lucky in the adoption department just one more time? My dog buddy, Eli, and I had a wonderful home with our person for 1-1/2 years, but due to her health issues, we came back to TALGV. Before my home with her, I was in a group of pups found in a hole off the highway! Today, I’m still young, a beautiful Catahoula Leopard mix female, whose coat is black and very light brown. I’m leash trained and already know “stay” and “sit,” and I’m sure I could learn lots more if you want to teach me. If you take me home, I’ll do my best every day to make you glad you did. How about we meet and see if the perfect place for me is with you!

Hi… my name is Tonks,

Adopted September 14, 2016

If you’re looking for something “different,” then take a gander at my brother, Lupin, and me! While not exactly identical twins, we’re pretty darn close, and our beautifully unique markings and stubby Manx tails are pretty much guaranteed to garner “wows” from everyone! And then there’s our personality! We’ve lived with a dog and lots of kids all our 6 months, and our mom (who just didn’t have enough time for us with all her chores) says that we’re very lovable, gentle, great with children and other animals, and have a super time playing with each other. So why not add something really special to your life, by having “the twins” entertain and love you for years and years to come? (Okay, you could take just one of us, but why?!)

Hi… my name is Jack,

Adopted September 16, 2016

It’s hard to look your dapper-best when you’re lost, out on a dusty road, preoccupied with danger and hunger, but somehow I managed! When my rescuer found me, I was a polite little gentleman, ever so grateful for her assistance. Here at TALGV, I’ve made lots of friends thanks to being pleasant with volunteers and visitors alike. They tell me I’m a special fellow, handsome and young, and very charming in my own special way. I’m patient and attentive, have lots of virtues, and one day soon I’ll finally have something else, that special something that everyone wants: A forever home. I’m a little guy—just about 18 pounds, so I could fit easily into a cozy place. And if that place is your heart and home, you’ll have my love in return forever!

Hi… my name is Koda,

Adopted October 1, 2016

People tell me my looks could stop traffic—my striking blue eyes and beautiful black/white/tan coat—and that’s kind of what happened. My rescuer was driving down a Sahuarita street, saw me and stopped to help. Since I had no tags, he used social media to try to find my people, but when no one came for me, he brought me here. He said I was an energetic dog who got along with other dogs at his house, not so much with his cats, and had lots of fun chasing balls. I can jump, too, so need supervision and a high fence when off-leash outside. I’m a 2-year-old Husky mix male, a slender 43 pounds, and through my bright blue eyes I see you and me in our exciting, fun future together.

Comes with FREE Vet Care for Life

You don’t know the meaning of “sweet” until you meet me! Oh, the ear scrunches, the chin scratches, the wait-let-me-roll-over-for-you poses so you can reach right there for a rub! I’ve pretty much got it all! As a declawed gentleman at the not-so-ripe age of 11 (that’s only 61 in human years – not so old for Green Valley!), I also come with Free Vet Care for Life. So what’s not to like? My mom had to go into a memory care facility and there was no family to take me in, so I’m really missing having all that done for me. I know once you meet me though, you won’t have any problem deciding that you’d like to continue her tradition for the rest of my life!

Jet

Hi… my name is Jet,

Adopted October 8, 2016

Do you know the best part of being a stray dog? It’s when you stop being a stray because people become your friends and they say, “Hey buddy, can I help you out?” Wow! I was so happy when that happened to me! My rescuer found me on the streets of Green Valley, where I’d been scrounging for food and not always coming up with anything; I was hungry and too thin. And I’ll readily admit that I was awfully lonely, especially because by nature I’m a sweet, friendly guy who likes hanging out with people. Now I’m okay, safe and cared for, but I’m watching for you and hoping you’re looking for me, too. I’m the 9-month-old black Lab pup who’s ready to follow your lead down lots of happy trails ahead.

Hi… my name is Xavier,

Adopted September 23, 2016

When I take a quiet moment to reflect, I appreciate how blessed I am to be here. I was a lost dog, found under some bleachers, so I’m grateful for the food, shelter, and, most of all, the friendly people who take care of me now. And then in some other quiet moments, I’m snoozing, because I’m a lively young guy who expends lots of energy at play and needs his nap time, too! When you come for a visit, you might see me lounging on my bed, but I’ll definitely perk up to meet you. I’m an active 1-year-old Heeler mix male, black and white, kind of little at just under 24 pounds, but full of life. Could you be the one to give me the best gift of all—a loving home!
