Hi… my name is Olive Rose,

Adopted with Oliver 10-23-16

If you read the Green Valley News and Sun, you’ll recognize my mom’s name, Jeannie Applegate, because she had a byline for quite a few years. Sadly, she died recently, but I’m sure that she’d be content knowing that TALGV will find my dad, Oliver, and me new equally loving homes together. I have high hopes that that won’t be hard, as we’re both just as outgoing, playful, and loving as can be, so our addition to your life will become a banner day for us all! I’m a 2-year-old girl who loves, loves, loves having my chin and ears scratched, chasing feather toys (well, any toys!), and to just “hang” with you, so that’s bound to be a recipe for happiness!

Hi… my name is Tahoe,

Adopted 10-30-16

These days, I’m so happy-go-lucky that I look back only to say an enormous thank you to the people who saved my life! Hard to believe now, but not long ago I was in rough shape—weak, dehydrated, sick, and lost in the desert. Then two young women appeared. If they hadn’t stopped—well, we don’t have to think about that because they did rescue me, bless them! They brought me here, and soon I was receiving proper medical care. With that, plus comfort and love, I started to thrive! Now, I run and play every day, have lots of friends, and enjoy life as a bright, happy puppy with a future to match. A handsome Shepherd mix male, I’m hoping you agree I have the makings of a terrific lifelong companion for you.

Hi… my name is Ferdinand,

Adopted October 16, 2016

Today is a wonderful day! You’re reading my story, maybe becoming my friend, and I’m safe and cared for here at TALGV. Oh, I know life’s not perfect. After all, I was a stray, a dog without love or a home. But I have a gift that helps: An abundance of joy! Sometimes I’m so happy to see someone, I wiggle from head to tail! And if you want to teach me things, I’d be more than glad to work hard at pleasing you. I’m a 1-year-old male with a soft black and white coat, about 50 pounds, and volunteers here say I’m part Border Collie, part angel. They think I’m smart, sweet, and charming. Won’t you please come visit today and see if you agree? We may just be meant for each other!

Dee

Hi… my name is Dee,

Adopted 11-5-16

Dee comes with Free Vet Care for Life.

Everyone loves newborns don’t they? Well, cats are no exception, but in my case, my housemate, NeNe, and I were a little too enthusiastic about spending time with the newest family member, and despite the fact that we’d already “raised” a 2-year-old, our mom worried that something might happen, so we’re hoping that we can share our life’s worth of experiences with another family. At 15 (which qualifies me for free vet care for life), I’m still a happy, affectionate gentleman who loves people, tolerates a dog (but mom said I’d prefer not to have the attention!), and of course gets along great with NeNe. I’m very vocal and love feather toys and strings, so I’m ready made for a life creating new memories with you!

Hi… my name is Jack.

Adopted 11-21-16

When the owner of the house my family lived in only gave them 30 days notice to move after he sold the house, they couldn’t manage to find a place that would allow cats, so my bosom buddy, Onyx, and I came back to our alma mater to find another family to love. Dad said, “They’re wonderful pets who love each other and our dog. They curl up next to him and stay in whichever room he’s in! We are so sad to have to return them.” Well I’m pretty sad, too, but because I’m such a sweet, handsome guy, I know once you meet me, you’ll want to make my life good again (hopefully with Onyx, too!). I’d add a lot of pleasure to your life, I promise.
