Hi… my name is Nipsy,

Adopted August 26, 2016

When her fortunes necessitated my mom having to move in with friends, it turned out that they had two dogs that weren’t at all cat friendly (the Staffie I lived with was — and I really loved playing with him!), so unhappily, I’m searching for a new family with good-natured critters (or not, it could just be me!). I get along great with kids (mom said, “Nipsy’s sweet, loves to be petted and cuddle, and doesn’t have an mean bone in her body.” Combine those raves with my lovely looks, and you couldn’t have a more appealing package! I like to sleep with you in bed if you’ll let me, and since mom allowed me on the furniture too (where all cats should be in my opinion!) I can be your constant companion!

Hi… my name is Leia,

Adopted July 18, 2016

Last two photos were taken in March when I was just 3 months old. My owner moved away and couldn’t take me. Why don’t you stop by The Animal League to meet me right away? I bet we would both be happy if you did.

Hi… my name is Little Bit,

Adopted August 21, 2016

Velvet! Black velvet! That’ll be the first thing you think when you touch me! Then when you get to know me a little (and I mean a little — it won’t take long!), you’ll realize that I’m as sweet as I am soft. My dear dad, who rescued me from the streets when I was a youngster, has developed major health issues that need treatment out of state, so I’m in need of another savior to take over for him. I’m a lovable, lap sitting, “needy and dependent” (i.e., I want your undivided attention!), 6-year-old gentleman who actually doesn’t live up to his name at 15 pounds. But it’s all love and gentleness, so make my dad happy and give me one more chance. Life’s too short for us not to be together!

Hi… my name is Muchi,

Adopted 2-4-17

Muchi comes with FREE Vet Care for Life!

There used to be a TV show about women of a certain age who found a lot of pleasure in life. I could be their dog. I’m in my golden years, too, and still know how to enjoy every day. The woman who rescued me from a Sahuarita road—the kindest of strangers, who reached out to help me when I was lost—said she found me to be very sweet and gentle. The volunteers here agree with that description; I say it’s easy to be so agreeable because I truly love the company of people. When you’re lucky enough to have a comfortable place to stay and a caring friend by your side, life is good. I’m a black and tan Doberman mix female, who’d love to spend every golden day with you.

Hi… my name is Karanda,

Adopted 11-9-16

Karanda comes with FREE Vet Care for Life

Okay, if you want to be factual-like, I have to be up front and tell you that I much prefer adults to children and I am very persnickety about litterbox cleanliness! That being said, I’m a lovely tuxedo lady with gold-leaf eyes (and come with Free Vet Care for Life), who can be independent one minute and purr my way into your lap the next (you know, like a cat!). My dad said that I’m a really “fast runner” and sleep a good bit (again, I’m a cat!) — so I guess I sometimes go from zero to 60 in under ten seconds! My dad couldn’t afford to keep me any longer, so I’m looking for a quiet home where I can live out my nine lives in peaceful bliss. I’ll bet your place would be just the ticket!

Hi… my name is Ottis,

Adopted July 12, 2016

My friend, Ringo, and I lived in the same home for years, but when our human mom realized she couldn’t take care of us anymore due to her own health concerns, she showed us her love once more by letting us go to find new homes. I’m a 7-year-old male Dachshund, extraordinarily good-looking thanks to my smooth silver dapple coat. Past treatment has left me very leery of men, but I love being with women and children, and I’ve been reported to be good with cats and other small dogs. To make you smile, I’ll sit up on my rear legs and be as cute as I can be, and here’s hoping that’s enough to make you want to come visit me today. If so, we just might find we’ll be great together forever!   (revised bio needed)

Hi… my name is Boots,

Boots comes with Free Vet Care for Life

My dad and I have some good years under our belts, but life’s journey twists and turns. Dad’s at the VA now, and TALGV is helping me find my new home, too. I’m 10 years old (receiving FREE vet care for life!), with some white hairs on my muzzle, which just mean I’m a gentleman of experience. Oh sure, I remember the fun of being a pup, but I’m very happy being me right now, too. I still like to play and do happy dog things, especially if I have a person to do them with me. We can go for a walk, just hang out, sleep in the sun—whatever you like. I’m a nice, friendly, mellow fellow—a black Lab mix who knows how to love. Will you let me love you?
