Hi… my name is Carmen,

Adopted May 21, 2016

After my mom, Delila, was found (very “with children”!), she lived with a wonderful volunteer until my siblings, Bryson, Bonnie, Erica, and I were born and weaned. Now that we’ve attained the ripe old age of 2 months and weigh 2 pounds (the old “2/2” rule for kittens!), we’re ready to move on with life. My foster mom said, “Carmen is the image of her mother with her chocolate undercoat. She was the first one to leave the protection of mom to explore her world. ” There aren’t too many kids my age that don’t like to explore, but I sort of go over the top sometimes! Well, I’m very unusual in any case, so won’t you make my foster mom’s day and give me a home as wonderful as hers was!

He’s adventurous and loves balls with bells in them.” There aren’t too many kids my age that don’t, but I sort of go over the top for them! She is a crazy explorer, loves mice, and is the feistiest of the bunch.” There aren’t too many kids my age that aren’t pretty lively, but I sort of go over the top sometimes! Hi… my name is Barney (aka Baby Boy),

Adopted 1-8-17

When my housemate, Diamond, and I started hearing the dreaded “divorce” word, we had a sinking feeling that it might not end well for us. Sad to say it didn’t, as mom had to move to an apartment that didn’t allow pets, and dad couldn’t take us either, so we’re “back to the drawing board” in search of new homes. Mom said that I love playing with laser lights, pipe cleaners, am very “kittenlike,” and that I sometimes I think I’m a dog (I’m not quite sure what that means!). I love people (although don’t “do” kids very well), and at just 2 years old, I’ve got tons of living to do, so why not share the joy and do it together!

Hi… my name is Snowflake,

Adopted 1-16-17

At first glance, you might think whoever named me was one of those comedians who call fat people “Tiny!” Well, that’s actually not the case, ‘cause if you look a little closer, you’ll see that I do have a smattering of “snowflakes” strewn across my black fur so I guess they were actually being clever! I was wandering the area around The Peaks for several months before a kind lady began to feed me, and it took a while for me to warm up to her, but once I did, she said I just loved being petted (especially my ears!) and really seemed to want to come inside. They think I’m about 2 years old, so with lots of living still to do, I really want to put the itinerant life behind me!

Hi… my name is Anamax,

Adopted September 10. 2016

Do you suffer from insomnia? Well, permit me to recommend the Anamax purr cure! It goes hand-in-hand with the vibration therapy that happens when I’m snuggled up next to you, and I can almost guarantee a good night’s sleep! I was found in Anamax Park, looking for all the world like I was scratching my head wondering how on earth I’d landed there. Fortunately, I was rescued in short order (who knows what could have happened if a pack of coyotes jumped the fence and decided it was “playtime”!), and now I’m safe here checking out all the visitors to see which one I’m going to pick! With my super sleek panther-like looks, I’m a young fella who would be the pride, joy, and comfort of absolutely anyone!

Hi… my name is Corey,

Adopted 10-20-16

I’m a dog who loves people. As a calm, 5-year-old black Lab mix male, I’ve been the lucky recipient of love from people, too. Indeed, I was rescued from a tough situation because my rescuers considered me an “awesome” dog! However, to ‘fess up, while I love people, I don’t always love other dogs, especially other male dogs, and I’m not good with cats. Bottom line is that I should be your only pet. But please remember that people did not give up on me because I am an awesome dog! All I need to be happy is your attention; interacting with people is my strong suit. I’m crate-trained and leash-trained, and if I become yours, my whole world will revolve around you. Give me a chance and I’ll be your grateful dog forever!

Hi… my name is Mr. Duke,

Adopted 11-19-16

When I first arrived here, I ran out the door a couple times because I thought my family left me behind accidentally. Turned out they had moved to a rental home and couldn’t take me with them. We’d been together since I was a puppy 7 years ago, so this is a big change for me, but fortunately I’m a real friendly guy who’s ready to meet some great new people. I’m a handsome tricolored American Foxhound mix male, about 100 pounds. I’m leash trained but my companion walker should be strong like me. My former owners said I’m lovable and loyal. I’d be so glad to show you up close and personal that I’m just that—lovable and loyal—and will give you all my best if you’ll let me be yours.
