Hi… my name is Amidala,

Adopted March 25, 2016

I’m one lucky puppy in a litter of lucky pups, but that wasn’t always the case. My siblings and I weren’t welcome where we were born and we might have ended up trying to fend for ourselves (which conjures up scary thoughts of dangerous things). Instead, we were brought to this wonderful place, where we’re safe, cherished, served nutritious food and taught things dogs need to know. Turns out puppy life can be comfy and fun! Yes, puppies require lots of love and care to help us grow, but we also brighten your world as only puppy love and joy can. Please come share our happiness. I’m Amidala, a good-looking 3-month-old Shepherd mix male, black with tan and white markings, and I’m hoping you’ll like me so much you’ll want to take me home!

Hi… my name is Cornell,

Adopted March 18, 2016

Back on a cold winter’s day, a wonderful person rescued our mom. Then, suddenly, there were eight more of us! Now, our mom—a real hero to her babies—is having a spay procedure, and we’re here, discovering important new puppy things every day. We’re getting good at eating and drinking on our own, playing for fun, and being a little independent; that is, standing on our own four feet, even if we still roll over and sleep on each other sometimes. I’m Cornell, an adorable black and white female who’s ready for the next big step—finding a home of my own where I’ll be taught more important things, cuddled regularly on a daily basis, and loved forever. If you’re ready to give puppy love and care, please reach out for me today!

Adopted March 26, 2016

DONUT is a very smart, social, and sweet 60-pound 4-year-old Sharpei mix who needs a new home as her owners are moving out of the area and can’t take her. She is housebroken, asks to go out and uses a doggy door. Donut is crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and knows the commands “sit,” “stay,” and “shake.” She loves being with her people and does best with calm dogs of medium or large size. She is spayed, is up to date with shots, and medical records are available. There is no adoption fee for this loving girl. If you will welcome Donut into your home as part of your family, please call Jennifer between 8 AM and 8 PM at 520-780-0313.

Hi… my name is Mario,

Adopted April 23, 2016

The AKC describes Boxers as “fun-loving, bright, active and loyal.” If you come for a visit, I’ll try to show you I’m all those good things and more! I’m a handsome 9-month-old Boxer male, just shy of 70 pounds, with a short, fawn-colored coat. I was given to my previous owner by a coworker, but then he found out he can’t have dogs where he lives. The good news is that there are lots of people who love Boxers or would love one given the chance. Of course, I’m hoping to meet someone who wants me especially and will welcome me with open arms. I’m a playful, happy guy who’s eager and quick to learn, and will bring a lot of Boxer fun to your life. I say the sooner we meet, the better!

Hi… my name is Ruff,

Adopted March 16, 2016

I wish I could start with “once upon a time” because my TALGV friends say I look like a dog with an interesting story. But all I know is that I somehow ended up alone in a local park, and even though I was pretty dirty (I’d probably been wandering for a while), a kind gentleman put me in his truck and brought me here. I was so shy someone carried me to my new run, but now, after receiving kindness and care, I give my visitors a calm and friendly greeting. Honestly, I love people and your attention makes me so happy. I’m a 1-year-old Wheaten Terrier male, medium size, white with tan and black spots. If you let me share your heart and home, we can write a happy new chapter together!

Hi… my name is Figuero,

Adopted as TALGV Meeter & Greeter 5-3-17

Figuero comes with FREE Vet Care for Life.

Sometimes the best of intentions go awry. The folks who rescued me thought I belonged to their neighbors and when it turned out I didn’t, I was such a lover they decided to keep me. Unfortunately, pesky allergies kicked in, so their relatives took me in. They had me for two months, but I didn’t get along with their two young cats or dogs (especially the dogs!) so once more, I’m searching for a perfect home. In the time they had me, they said I loved to cuddle, and my preference for sleeping accommodations was their laps! I was gentle with the kids in the house, too, so if the prospect of having an affectionate, mature gentlemen companion warms the cockles of your heart, come meet me!

Hi… my name is Nash,

Adopted 12-8-16

When my mom had to move in with her parents while she finished college, her not-so-temporary lodging didn’t allow pets, so my housemate, Nala, and I needed to find new digs. Mom said that I’m shy at first, but open up really quickly, LOVE to play (being still basically a kitten, that’s a given!), spend lots of time with my own people, new people (I’m a real “meeter and greeter” once I’m comfortable in my home) and I especially enjoy children (I had a 3-year-old that visited and we were the best of friends). I’m a young, solid black, golden-eyed boy with tons of love to give, and I sure hope that you’ll be on the receiving end of it for years and years to come!

Hi… my name is Nala,

Adopted March 21, 2016

When my mom had to move in with her parents while she finished college, her not-so-temporary lodging didn’t allow pets, so my housemate, Nash, and I needed to find new digs. Mom said that I love to be held and snuggled, will talk to you, love attention and children (I spent hours snuggling in the lap of the 3-year-old who visited!), and am just generally an all-around great, fun-loving teenager. Nash and I had to spend a lot of time alone when mom was in school, so I’m hoping for a place where my people will be around more. I’m a young, solid black, green-eyed girl with tons of love to give, and I sure hope that you’ll be on the receiving end of it for years and years to come!

Hi… my name is Buddy,

Adopted March 12, 2016

How does a friendly, great-looking dog like me end up walking alone in the road? We don’t have the answer to that, but I’m sure my future is a lot brighter now that I’m here, where I can meet you! I’m a young black Lab male, 67 pounds, with the typical Lab webbed feet and otter tail. My handsome coat has a gentle wave to it, and you could say the same about my personality because I’m a gentle guy, one who loves the company of people. Going for walks, playing, and just hanging out are all fun things we can share. I’m an even-tempered, people-pleasing guy who excels at being a charming and loving companion. If you think we’d be a good match, please come visit today. I’d love to be your buddy!

Hi… my name is Mooky,

Adopted April 10, 2016

Well, humans may like those squirmy, noisy things called babies, but this little lady really had her nose out of joint when mine arrived, so I had to say adieu to my family (the big ones were really nice though!). I also lived with three other cats and two dogs, so I’d say that I was pretty adaptable in the “getting-along-with-non-humans” department! My people also said that although I’m sometimes independent, I can easily get attached to one person (you think of dogs as bonding with their people, but we felines do that too once in a while!), so if you’re looking for a quiet lady who will be happy just to be with you reveling in life’s simple pleasures, that would definitely be me!
