Hi… my name is Tory,

Adopted April 2, 2016

When I was found near a busy intersection, I eagerly answered my rescuer’s call. I was friendly right away, but also malnourished and had a skin issue, so my TALGV friends took me to the vet. Today, I feel so much better! My coat may never be perfect, but I have long black silky fur, and with my new healthy diet, I’m now about 40 pounds, a nice size for a 1-year-old Lab mix female. I’m having baths with a special shampoo, and TALGV will continue to support care for the skin condition until it’s resolved. And from my heart, I offer you my sweet personality and people-friendly good nature. If you can introduce me to a life of love and fun, I’m ready! May the next friendly call I hear be yours!

Hi… my name is Lovey,

Adopted March 11, 2016

To see us cuddle and play, you might think my siblings and I have had only fun days, but our lives started with a struggle. After a difficult delivery, our mother couldn’t care for us and bottle-feeding wasn’t working. Just when things looked desperate, a small mother dog appeared! Her own puppies weren’t found, but she accepted us instead, making us three very lucky pups! Today we’re thriving, running and playing, sometimes falling all over ourselves. Our biological mom was an Otterhound mix, so that’s a hint of what we’ll look like. And, of course, we’re all adorable. I’m a female with one blue eye and one brown, black with a white stripe on my head, and I have a whole lot of puppy love to give. How about I give it to you!

Dogg was adopted March 11, 2016

DOGG is an energetic, eager-to-please, 2-year-old, 40-pound shepard mix boy who needs a new loving home. He was found in early January 2016 in the Sierrita Mountains but finders could no longer keep him. He is house trained, has been neutered, loves people, and is progressing nicely with obedience training. Although he is tolerant of other dogs and cats, children are unknown. He has been taught to ‘sit’, ‘come’, ‘off’, and how to ’sit, wait, keep eye contact with the feeder, wait for a drop-hand signal, and eat shoulder-to-shoulder with other dogs. He thrives on good hard exercise and could easily keep up with a runner or bicyclist. He does not like riding in a car. Dogg is a very smart, friendly, affectionate dog, is quite starved for attention, and since he demands lots of attention, it might be best if he were an only dog.

Hi… my name is Ollie 2,

Adopted April 4, 2016

My birth mom was found with a badly mangled leg (which, sadly, required amputation), along with her kittens in Sahaurita. Her wonderful rescuer saw to her medical care and after she recovered, a family in Casa Grande adopted her. That left my brother, Wollie, and me to find new homes, but once you take a gander at us, you’ll undoubtedly be smitten by our looks (if that’s important to you!), but even more by our magnetic personalities! I’m said to be a “bold and outgoing” guy who “likes all activity” and “people love,” especially in the morning and after a nap. With my silky medium-haired tuxedo coat and winning ways, I know that your life will just have gotten a whole lot more exciting once I’m part of it!

Hi… my name is Rosemary,

Adopted March 5, 2016

Not too long after I was adopted as a baby last year, the family discovered that their 2½-year-old was allergic to me, so unfortunately I had to spend my time isolated in one room away from him. Happily for me, after four months, they decided that I needed a home where I had the freedom to do all the engaging kitten things I was designed for and to participate more in the daily goings on in the house. I am a petite, totally sweet medium-haired black and white youngster who’s playful, loves attention (whenever I can get it – I need lots!), and, according to them, am a “great girl who deserves more freedom and interaction with a family.” I’ll bet my bottom dollar yours would fit the bill!

Hi… my name is Hooch,

Adopted April 23, 2016

When I somehow ended up dodging cars in traffic, things looked dire for me. But, just in the nick of time, a kind human came to my rescue and brought me to TALGV. Even in this safe place, I was shy at first, but I’ve learned that the people here want only the best for me. They think I have the makings of a great companion because once over my shyness, I’m alert, smart, and playful. I’m a 1-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, a handsome guy in my eye-catching merle pattern coat and athletic build, weighing in at about 44 pounds. If you could go for an active, affectionate and devoted buddy, we really should get together. With me by your side, I just know there are lots of happy trails ahead for us!

Hi… my name is Nemo,

Adopted 8-28-16

Our people had good things to say about my Chow friend Honey and me, but they had to keep us tied up and knew that wasn’t good for us. (They’re raising farm animals and had to keep us away from the chickens and turkeys.) We were both “found” dogs, so we’re grateful for the years with them and appreciate their good reports, like when they said that I’m loving to people, gentle and tolerant with children. I’m leash trained, and love to play, run, and fetch. Please come see me and give me a chance to show you what a fun-loving guy I can be. I’m a 5-year-old black and tan Rottie mix male, a real handsome guy with a happy zest for life. If you take me home, you’ll be my hero forever!

Hi… my name is Princess,

Adopted March 25, 2016

I lived with my former family since I was a puppy and loved playing with the kids (ages 4, 6, 9 and 10), but after major changes in the family’s life, (which didn’t relate to me), I need to find a new home. I’m a 4-year-old black and tan Rottweiler female, about 77 pounds, and since my breed is known for being strong and powerful, you might be surprised by my sweet and affectionate personality. I’ve been known to offer kisses to those bringing me food and water. Until now, I always lived outside and was not leashed trained, so a comfy home with some helpful training will be a wonderful, positive change for me. I have lots of love and a lifetime of loyalty to give; please let me give it to you.
