Hi… my name is Scampi.

Adopted August 14, 2015

When you’re a dog without a home, lots of places can be dangerous.   My friend, Skippy, and I were found in a very dangerous place—the middle of a busy road. We’re sure grateful to the man who stopped to help us. And now that we’re safe, I’m focused on happy days ahead. I’m an 18-month-old Wirehaired Terrier female, and at just 16 pounds, I’m little in size but big in personality. I’m also super friendly and energetic. Fun things for me include playing in water—running through sprinklers is all kinds of fun– and if my playfulness keeps you entertained, all the better!   I say life is to enjoy and best when shared. If you agree, I hope we can meet. Maybe the happy home I dream of will be with you!

Hi… my name is Blue.

Adopted August 13, 2015

Wouldn’t it be great if dogs always went along when their people moved? My buddy, Bali, and I think so. We lived together, but when our people moved, we didn’t get to go because the new place was smaller and there was no room for us.   Now we’re hoping to find new homes. I’m a 52-pound Heeler male, black, white and tan, and still young enough to have lots of energy and playfulness. Playing ball is one of my favorite things. I know the sit and outside commands, and would love to spend time with you learning more. I think the best thing in the world would be to have a truly forever home. If you have room in your heart and home for me, I would love to be your new best friend.

Hi… my name is Bali (aka Bella).

Adopted February 17, 2016

When my family moved and couldn’t take me with them, I was sad, of course, but right away started believing someone else could love me, too. I remember all the good things I’ve learned, like “sit,” “down” and “stay.” Best of all, I know how important it is to love somebody. I try to show that when I meet new people by wiggling and sometimes speaking in my high soprano happy bark. And once I’ve adjusted to the joy of someone noticing me, I’ll walk calmly by their side on the leash, occasionally looking up just to let them know I’m noticing them, too. I’m a comfy-size adult Boxer mix female with a big loving heart who’d be happy to meet you and thrilled to belong to you. Please come visit me today!

Hi… my name is Angel.

Adopted August 9, 2015

When I was on my own, without a human or a home, I lived under a bridge. Someone was feeding me, but I was always hungry and thin. And when I walked out on the road, trying to find something better, I had some dangerously close calls with cars. Then my life changed in a wonderful way. Today I’m at TALGV. Here, I’m learning what it is to be safe and cared for, and it’s a great feeling.  My sweet and loving nature can shine through now that I’m with friends. And with regular meals, I may soon weigh a bit more than my current 64 pounds. I’m a female St. Bernard mix, about 1-1/2 years old, and if you come for a visit, I’ll show you what a beautiful, fun companion I can be.

Hi… my name is Gypsy.

Adopted August 27, 2015

When I arrived at TALGV in 2014, I was dirty and practically starving, but a total sweetheart. After I got spiffed up, I went to live with a senior gentleman and lived with him for several months, but he said I was “too active” and caused him a lot of frustration (OK — I can be a “door darter”!), but that I really was a friendly gal who loves to play with “anything on a string” and small toys. I also was outgoing and eager to greet everyone who visited (thus the open door thing!), but really, if I have lots of stuff to keep me occupied, and a house to roam in, then I think I’d be one happy camper. I’m a lovely green-eyed, grey tabby girl who just wants to be your “meeter and greeter”!

Hi… my name is Titan.

Adopted August 20, 2015

I was found at Sahuarita Lake, but it wasn’t a walk in the park for me. I was lost. A kind human asked around the neighborhood, but no one knew me. So now I’m here, at TALGV, where my new friends are taking care of me after those tough, on-my-own days. With their help, I’m quickly becoming the happy, handsome Husky I’m meant to be. I’m already a good-natured, friendly guy. My coat is silver, black and white, and I’m about 64 pounds and 3 years old. You may have noticed my one brown eye and one blue eye, which is kinda cool, but I’m hoping the main thing you notice is what a naturally good companion I can be. If you come for a visit, maybe we’ll each find our next best friend!

Hi… my name is Sharang.

Adopted September 7, 2015

Third time’s the charm, right? I’ve had two good homes, but both times something changed and I lost out. My first person moved in with his son and couldn’t take me with him. My second person reunited with someone who had two dogs and we just could not get along. I sure hope my next home will be forever! I’m a 42-pound Belgian Tervuren female, with good house manners and lots of likes: squeaky toys, car rides, nap time, hanging out on the sofa. I’m loyal, can be protective of my owner and shy with strangers, but I’ve made lots of new friends at TALGV. They say I’m beautiful. If you and I become friends, I’ll show you my inner beauty, too, and how we can make a wonderful home together.

Hi… my name is Marble.

Adopted August 26, 2015

Here’s what we know about me: “Wife found him in Amado. Brought him home. Tried to give him away. Got other cats and dog and they aren’t happy.” Huh, well, here’s what else they know about me: I’m downright awesomely gorgeous with my unusual black/grey/white fur, I’m only 3 months old, so I’m gonna charm your socks off like all kids my age, and I have so much time ahead of me to do just that! And did I mention sweet? I’ve pretty much covered that ,too. Now all you need to do is plop me in your lap for a chuck under the chin and an ear scratch, and I know I won’t have to recite the Gettysburg Address to get you to take me home!

Hi… my name is McCoy.

Adopted August 22, 2015

My brothers, Spock and Kirk. and I were named after Star Trek characters because we’re out-of-this-world adorable! Well, that’s what we tell each other and I’m hoping you’ll agree. Here’s our short story (we’re only 2 months old, so you know it’s not long): A kind person found our mom and two other Chihuahua females. Turned out Mom was expecting us and when we arrived, that doubled the dog number to 6! Once old enough, we were brought to TALGV in hopes of finding happy homes for each of us. We do puppy things very well—eat, sleep, play, sleep more, play more—you get the idea. I’m 4 pounds, black, tan and white, and if you have a big heart for a little guy like me, we could be happy together for a long time.

Hi… my name is Toby.

Adopted August 6, 2015.

My little friend, Lady, and I were abandoned in a rental house. A sad story, but I am not a sad dog! I say life is good, and I love sharing it. I’m a big guy, an 87-pound black Lab, and I have a big heart, too. When my little friend jumped on my back for a better view, that was fine with me. I’m happy to help. And apparently it did help, because I’m glad to say that lucky Lady was adopted. Now I’m hoping it’s my turn. If you and I spend a few minutes together, you’ll see that I’m calm, friendly, ready to give and receive love; just all around good company. At 5 years old, I’m looking forward to my happy days ahead. Could they be with you?

Hi… my name is Sheba.

Adopted September 26, 2015

When my brother and I were born under the hot tub of a lovely lady in Green Valley, she took us in, along with our mom, Roma, and kept us until we were old enough to come to TALGV to be adopted. My brother went out in no time, but I was such a pint-sized little thing that I needed some extra TLC, so went to a foster mom until I reached two pounds. Well now I’m zipping around and eating and enjoying life to the fullest (well, almost to the fullest — it would be a lot better in my own home with you!). Kittens are a delight at any age, if I do say so myself, so take advantage of my youth and enthusiasm and add some sparkle to your life!
