Sal

Hi… my name is Sal.

Adopted December 29, 2014.

Right now I’m in foster care for a while because I was so frightened when I came in. My senior mom couldn’t care for me any longer, and since I’d spent a lot of time with her, I was really at “sixes and sevens” when my happy, quiet life changed. I’m sure as my foster mom gets to know more about me, she’ll have lots of good things to say, so stay tuned for updates on my progress. Since at 15 years of age I’m considered a senior gentleman, I come with TALGV’s Free Vet Care for Life, so I’m hopeful that that, plus my quiet nature, will appeal to another peaceful soul who would like a furry, declawed companion.

Hi… my name is Gismo.

Adopted January 1, 2015.

It seems soul patches are “in” these days so I’m right with the times with the little black pouf under my chin! My family (including three kids and a dog) only had me for a month when they packed up and moved to a place in North Dakota (brrrr!) that didn’t allow pets. They said that I was gentle and tolerant with the kids, loved the dog, and did all the kitten things that we’re known and loved for — “into everything” was what they said, I think! I’m a darling young black and white boy and I’d like to spend the rest of my life charming the socks off you! Come sit with me for just a few minutes and you’ll be hooked!

Arrived December 20, 2014.

Hi… my name is Merry.

Adopted January 29, 2015.

After visiting the ophthalmologist, they determined that I’m blind and probably have been for quite a while. The doctor said that I’d need eye drops for life to keep my eyes comfortable (but that shouldn’t be an issue since at 10 years of age I come with FREE Vet Care for Life — and eye drops are easy!).  My “disability” doesn’t bother me at all, and I adore walks and am an “excellent lap sitter”!  I was fostered for a few days and found my way around the house just fine.  I should really be an only dog, and everyone agrees I’d be perfect for an older person. My “personal classified ad” might read: “senior dog seeking senior human for companionship!” Why not let it be you?

Merry comes with FREE Vet Care for Life.

Hi… my name is Felix.

Adopted June 2, 2015

You know there are cats that just LOVE other cats, and then there’s my kind — we’d really prefer to be king of the hill! I did live with another cat for two years, and we got along “meh” as they say, but my mom and dad felt that my occasional “issues” were social ones and that they’d disappear once I never had to look over my shoulder for the “other guy.” They said that I am a very affectionate fellow who loves lap time and am “needy and dependent” (not a “bad” thing — it just means I like to be around you a lot!). I’m an amiable tuxedo guy with a charming “soul patch” who will be forever grateful for one more chance to prove what a lover I am!
