The word Denali means “the great one,” which is why they chose it for me. I am a beautiful puppy with gorgeous white socks and a regal bearing that will help me grow into my name one day. For now, I love playing with other dogs and learning about the world around me. My sisters and I were abandoned so we didn’t get to enjoy the comforts of life with humans until recently, and I have discovered I love snacks and a soft bed. I will be a big dog, but I’m pretty laid back when I’m not playing. I’d love to find a home with another dog or a patient owner who can teach me all the perks of living with people. I am a gorgeous girl with a sleek, black coat and mesmerizing blue eyes who will grow to be a big dog. I’m still a puppy, but I like to play it cool and observe before joining in with whatever fun is happening. I’m told I am very smart and pick up commands quickly. I am also quite loving once I get to know you. I didn’t get a lot of experience with people early on in my life as my siblings and I were on our own, so I would love a home with another dog to teach me the ropes or a patient human who understands that sometimes the best love is found when we wait patiently for the “right one” to come along.

I was named in honor of Mount Saint Helens because I’m going to be a big girl, but unlike the mountain, I’m not one to blow my top. I’m a quiet girl, probably because my sisters and I were abandoned when we were young and left on our own; we are slowly discovering that there’s a big world out there full of humans who want to love us. However, I would do best with a patient person or another dog in the house to help me learn all about these exciting opportunities. I’m a smart, gentle girl who walks well on a leash and can already sit (along with some other commands). I’m also wonderful with other dogs I’ve met and enjoy playing with them. Our family was moving out of the country and couldn’t take me and my brother Luca. We are only two years old so I’m hoping we can find a new home quickly and start the rest of our lives. We need to go together! We are beautiful dark boys, with a light undercoat and black top coat. We have a hint of darker stripes too. I love to hang out on top of the cat tree here where I can be available for attention. We are both friendly and like to be petted. Our family says we are good with kids (they had three) and a dog.

My buddies and I were found outside, and after being fed awhile a nice person brought us to The Animal League. One of my buddies has already been adopted! I’m hoping my turn comes soon. I’m a solid boy who likes lazing on the top perch of the cat tree in the catio. You can rouse me for petting and brushing but otherwise I’m pretty chill. Maybe I’m just worn out after surviving outside! My coat is black and white, and I have the cutest chubby black cheeks and mustache. How about coming to meet me to see if we can make a go of it?

My family was moving across country and couldn’t take all of their pets—I drew the short straw along with one of the dogs, and I went to another home. Once in that new home I misbehaved so I’m back here at The Animal League. I’d really like my luck to change now! I’m a friendly shorthaired girl that likes all the usual petting, scratching and brushing, but I will let you know when I’ve had enough. I also like to play.
