Hi… my name is Cow Kitty,

When dad fell on hard times, he had to give up my buddy Raven and me. Sad for all of us! We had been together for several years. There were five other cats and two children in the family, and we all got along. One of the kids must have named me, based on my coat looking like a Holstein. Dad says I’m playful but sometimes shy with strangers. I’m a little more independent than Raven, and will alternate between playing and relaxing. Here at The Animal League, I like laps and will roll over for petting and playing. Come meet me and Raven, and see if you like our “package deal.”

The thing about puppies: They grow up. Maybe I’m biased, but the best puppies grow up to be big dogs! Unfortunately, that seemed to backfire on me because, through no fault of my own, I grew too big for my family to handle. I’m not sure what that means because I will happily show you how polite and well-mannered I am. I love going on long, leisurely walks where we can enjoy the sights, sounds, and sniffs – the last one is mostly for me – LOL! I’m house-trained (obviously), and I yearn to be near people. REBA is a playful, five-year-old, 40-pound Bulldog mix female that needs a new home. She is in good health, spayed, up to date on shots, and medical records are available. Reba is housebroken and asks to go out. She is leash trained, crate trained, and has basic obedience training (knows sit and down). She is good with other dogs and cats; children are unknown. Reba may need a short time and introduction before acceptance of new things. She likes to play and will entertain herself. There is no adoption fee for this special girl. I’m a real lady of mystery, found on the loose. Thankfully I was brought to The Animal League where I have been getting every attention. I’m so happy for human interaction that I’ve been known to tuck my head around and purr when I’m petted or brushed. My fur IS very soft and fluffy, just like velvet. Many dog friends tell interesting stories about their lives before coming to The Animal League. Here’s mine: I was found at a mine tailings site. The End. OK, just teasing, but all we know for sure is that when found I was alone, scared, hungry and thirsty. Once safely here, though, I quickly let my true personality shine through. I’m a lively, very playful guy and have shared my run with other dogs, but no cats please! I still prefer to eat alone, and my people friends are helping me learn good-dog lessons, including how to share my toys. For fun-loving me, training is like playing! What else could I ask for?
