Hi… my name is Mira,

Adopted 10-16-21

Looking for a cat that’s hypoallergenic, has minimal shedding, and a great personality thrown in for good measure? Well, look no further! According to our breed description, “Not only are they hypoallergenic, but they have a trait called “glistening” that gives their coat a shiny, glimmering finish. With their natural tendencies to follow their owners and to give and receive affection, Burmese are almost dog-like, and many cats of this breed learn to play fetch.” Cool, huh? My “husband,” Charlie Boy, and I were part of a “too many cats” situation and our mom had to relinquish some of us, so now that I’m here, I’m ready to cuddle my way into your heart!

Hi… my name is Lily,

Adopted 9-22-21

You might say I took the long route getting here. First, I was found by a lady in Tucson and, somehow, I turned up at the local PetSmart. I was left there; then I spent the night at Paws Patrol. Finally I arrived at TALGV. Whew! That was quite a trip! Anyway, I’m an approximately 4-month-old, female Beagle/Chihuahua mix, (I know, that’s some mix). If I say so myself, I’m quite the cutie pie, and I’d be a real catch for anyone. Yes, I’m talking to you! Of course, you know you’d have to start out from scratch, and teach me ALL the basic commands, and probably even potty (or as they say, house) train me. You never know, I could surprise you. Please come and meet me. I would really enjoy one more trip…to our home!

Hi… my name is Roux,

Adopted 12-9-21

I feel like Kermit’s song, “It’s not easy being green … you tend to blend in with other things…” was written just for my roommates and me! Our lives have been a series of ups and downs – spending our early months outside, tolerating the intake pokes and prods when arriving here, and enduring a weeks-long ringworm protocol in isolation without a lot of “people time” – so we basically missed the joy of our kittenhood and are being fairly low-profile right now. But we’re youngsters nonetheless, and given patience, safe and loving homes, with a smidgen of time, I bet we’ll all become the companions we’re meant to be. Won’t you PLEASEgive us that chance?

Hi… my name is Zane,

RAINBOW BRIDGE 10-5-21

When I arrived the volunteers said I looked like “forty miles of bad road.” It’s pretty obvious that I’ve had a hard life and lost a lot of battles, especially considering that I was declawedat one time so have not an easy time catching my food and protecting myself. I can’t tell you what a relief it is be in a safe place where food is at my beck and call (and Vet Care Support for Life, too). Despite a rough life, I’m the sweetest (and most grateful) guy in the world, so won’t you take me home and make the rest of my life the things cats dream of?

Hi… my name is Bogey,

Adopted 9-25-21

Like the theme song from Casablanca, that other Bogey’s movie says, “It’s still the same old story, a fight for love and glory…” but I say all I need is the love! Of course I wouldn’t say no to “the fundamental things.” I’m speaking of my new forever home, one so secure that I won’t leave without permission. I’m a loving, well-mannered boy with an agreeable personality, who walks well on a leash, listens to my handler, asks to go out, and knows the commands “sit” and “stay.” I love people and I’ve been good around other dogs and children (ages 12 and 15.) As the song says, “You must remember this…” I’m waiting for you to take me home. I know we’ll be happy…”as time goes by.”

Hi… my name is Magic,

Adopted 9-19-21

Everyone needs some MAGIC in their life. That, my friend, is why I’m here…waiting for you! After a casual, loose-leash walk with a friendly volunteer, she was more than happy to report that I’m “excellent” on a leash, and I know the “sit” command. She seems to believe that someone once cared enough to spend time working with me. It’s not known about my former life, but if  scars are any indication it wasn’t always easy. I’m a male, approximately 3-year-old, Lab/Staffie mix who has so much more to offer. I’m ready to settle down and enjoy some of the finer things in life. I don’t require much, just a home of my own with a comfortable bed, good food, and above all, someone I can love and who loves me. Could that be you?

Hi… my name is Roxie,

Adopted 9-8-21

I love people. Indeed, I’ve been reported to “talk” to people, (not barking, but my own verbal communication), and since I like people so much, you know my message is all good! However, I was living with four other dogs and the time came when we no longer played nicely together. Our person felt the trouble was between me and the other female dogs in the household, so I’d be happiest as your only dog. And I’m ready to love someone new! Granted, I’m sometimes shy, but always smart, too; I’ve been taught a couple of commands and I’m good on a leash. A young Doberman mix female, 64 pounds, I’ve never been around kids or cats, but I excel at being a person’s companion. Won’t you give me the chance to be yours?  (bio dated June 2017)

Hi… my name is Cami,

Adopted 9-3-21

In the winter of 2018 I was found wandering alone and scared in Tubac. A patient man lured me with food and took me to TALGV. I’m a 6-year-old female Boxer who hopes to find a home with caring people and a canine buddy. I was gentle with my adopted family’s grandchildren and tried to befriend their dog. But when he just ignored me, I got depressed and stopped eating. They worried about me and brought me back. Now, in my foster home, my doggie “sister“ has taught me “down,” “crawl,” and how to use the doggie door. We love snuggling together. My foster parents say I’m skittish when hearing loud noises like slamming doors, but I’m not a barker. I’m shy at first, but ultimately I’m known as “the affectionate love bug.”
