Hi… my name is Queenie Sue,

Adopted 9-16-17

Queenie Sue has earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate.

Running free can be glorious if you’re safe—like when you’re at home or out running with your person. But I was found running loose and not safe at all because I was near a highway, without a collar or tag, and without a friend until a gentleman stopped, picked me up and brought me here. People say I’m stunningly beautiful—a blonde and white Husky mix female with a good-looking physique at 61 pounds—and those kind words are sweet, but I’m way more interested in how we feel about each other. Come visit and you’ll see that I’m looking for a friend. I’m 4 years old and still energetic, so we could exercise and then relax together the way old buddies do. How about it? Could we be friends for life?

Hi… my name is Mr. Jingles,

Adopted 2-28-17

When found, I was injured—maybe hit by a car—in the area of my back legs. Fortunately, a wonderful foster mom took me home and let me rest until I was strong again. Then I was adopted, but my new person became ill and must now spend lots of time away from home, so I’m here again. Bottom line: It’s been a bumpy ride, but I’m fine. I’m young—just 10 months old—and if I do say so myself, a resilient guy, who’s ready now for my happiest home ever! Just 12 pounds, I’m a blonde Chihuahua male with alert ears and big brown eyes that are watching for my special someone—the person who’d enjoy a happy little companion and will let me love them forever. Could it be you?

Hi… my name is Buttercup,

Adopted 1-5-17

When you look in my eyes, do you see a sweet and loving dog? I hope so, because that’s how friends describe me. My former person said I was very affectionate, very gentle, and very smart. But she couldn’t keep me because after three weeks of living together, the resident terrier decided there was one too many dogs in the home, so I had to go. And that’s okay. I still believe there’s a wonderful, forever home for me, too. I’m a 4-year-old blonde female, just under 60 pounds, leash-trained and eager to be your loyal, fun-loving companion—just turn on the hose and you’ll see a dog who knows how to have fun! Maybe today I’ll look up and see my forever friend, the one who’ll take me home. Could it be you?

Hi… my name is Carlos,

Adopted 12-21-2016

Since I’m a yellow Lab mix, you might expect me to be a really great dog. Well, I’m too humble to brag, but the volunteers say “a really great dog” is exactly what I am! The woman who found me said she was walking by Walden Grove when I just came up to her—a friendly, sweet guy. Oh, I’m playful, too. At just 14 months old (58 pounds), having fun is the best part of my day. And fun can include being gentle, loving, and attentive to my person. I just wish I had a person now. The volunteers sometimes find me sitting quietly, calmly relaxing. And you know what I’m thinking at those times? That a dog like me belongs with someone who wants to share the good life—someone like you!

Hi… my name is Prancer,

Adopted 12-8-16

Imagine you’re out for a stroll with your Border Collie, enjoying a little exercise, when suddenly six puppies run out to greet you! I was one of those puppies and I can tell you we were delighted to see that fellow and his dog! We’d been hiding under a stored RV, and our mom was nowhere around. So, our finders brought us here, where we’ve been the group to see for anyone who loves a litter of cute puppies. As the only blonde, I’m kind of a standout, but all of us are equally adorable. (If you think I’m the most adorable, that can be our secret.) Back on 11/27, I weighed 6 pounds; probably more today because I’m a growing boy. Please come visit today and let’s see if we find each other irresistible!

Hi… my name is Little Honey,

Adopted September 30, 2016

One scary night, someone wrapped me in a small blanket and left me outside, all alone, next to the mailbox of a man who already has several dogs. Thankfully, he found me before anything horrible happened, and the following day brought me to TALGV. Especially since I’m so little—just 2 months old and under 3 pounds!—you might think that frightening experience would be overwhelming, but you know what? It just proved me that I’m a lucky pup whose most recent treatment by humans has been wonderful. These days, my life is about playing, learning, cuddling and growing, and I’d love to show you how well I’m doing all those things. I’m a blonde Doxie mix female, and if you’re good at cuddling and loving, too, we’re probably made for each other!

Hi… my name is Dazzle,

Adopted August 20, 2016

Maybe you’ve heard the adage “All who wander are not lost.” It’s a lovely thought, but in my case, I was lost! My sister and I were found wandering across the street from a grocery store—yes, we were hungry. We were so glad to find that here at the Animal League, meals are served twice a day! Now that I feel safe and well fed, my thoughts have turned to people again. Visitors say hi to me, often comment on my pretty blonde coat and, well, let’s say “unusual” ears, but no one has taken me home yet. Will you visit me? I’m only 3 months old, so I might be bashful, but I’d love to meet you. And maybe, if you have a great big heart, you’ll give me my forever home!
