If life were a movie, I’d be the lovable sidekick who auditions for the lead but doesn’t get the part. So many adopters pass by my kennel…. and then pick another dog. I’m a calm, soulful girl who adores humans. I once had a doggie roommate, but I prefer people—I connect better with them. I walk nicely on a leash, though sometimes I’d rather pause, smell the roses, and watch the world go by. I’m hoping someone will finally see me. I was found abandoned in the desert and brought to TALGV where I’ve blossomed — with love from my volunteer friends. My goal is a lead role in a loving home. I’m ready to be someone’s star. SAMPSON is an energetic and affectionate one-year-old, 70-pound, Belgian Malinois mix male who needs a new home with a strong leader. He walks well on leash and needs to walk about 30 minutes at least twice a day. He loves to play fetch outside in the yard and enjoys chewing on Nylabones and other chew toys. He is crate trained, house trained, and asks to go out. He is in good health, neutered, up to date on shots, and medical records are available. Sampson needs to be an only pet as he does not get along well with other dogs and cats; children are unknown. He knows sit and stay and will love having attention in an active home and learning how to be your best friend. There is no adoption fee for this special boy. Thanks to the loving care of my foster parents, I’m finally healing and discovering how good life can be. Also, hats off to their Westie, Scampy. I’ve enjoyed hanging out and napping with you! I was found alongside the road with a painful injury. As a result, my leg couldn’t be saved, but I’m learning how to get along quite well. I’m content going in my crate when I choose, at night, and when left alone. I’ve needed some encouragement to go out to potty, but I’m improving daily. I’m a sweet, gentle, loving boy who enjoys getting praises, belly rubs, and any kind of attention. I need someone who can offer me security, patience, and ongoing love and care. One morning I woke up in my familiar, comfy home and then everything changed. Turned out, my family’s new place isn’t big enough for the children, the cats, and me. Was I upset? Yes. I’d lived with my family since I was a pup. I love living indoors and, most of all, being with people. My former family said I was “great” with the kids (ages 1 and 5) and the two cats. Here, I’ve been shy and lonely, but time and kind people are helping. When a good friend went with me to my medical exam, they said my “inner goofy boy” started coming out. Charming, loveable, attractive. These are some words you may not think of when you hear the word “Brick.” Once you meet me in person, you’ll realize those words perfectly capture who I am to a “T” (or is it “B”)? My brother and I were wandering behind some local stores when very kind people found us and kept us safe for the night, until TALGV opened the next day. We were pretty scared at first, but we quickly made both human and doggie friends. While we’re likely related, we don’t have to be adopted together (though how AWESOME would that be!). I’m the more laid-back guy, happy to get belly rubs. I’m also friendly and playful with other dogs, but I’m a little too interested in chasing cats. I’ve met young children and was very well mannered. Let me be part of the foundation of your loving, happy home.

Bugsy is an affectionate and smart 15-month-old, 21-pound, Pug/Boston Terrier mix male that needs a new home because he no longer gets along with his brother. He is house trained and asks to go out. I’m an almost 8-year-old female Staffie mix who’s basically a happy-go-lucky, people-loving dog! I’ve been good in the house when left alone, have asked to go out, can use a doggie door, and know a couple of commands. Even though I haven’t been a fussy eater, according to my previous owner I can’t eat carrots! I’m affectionate and playful, and as I previously mentioned, I love people but can become possessive of an individual. When it comes to walking on a leash, I do pretty well. I will need a strong, knowledgeable handler to keep me on the straight and narrow when meeting other dogs. In fact, I need to be your one and only pet! When people found me roaming around in the area near the Dollar Tree, it was already after hours at TALGV. Since they didn’t want to leave me in the parking lot, they invited me to stay the night with them and their family dog. I’m a happy, outgoing boy and I’ve had no problem making friends. I like everyone! I may have had previous training because I walk pretty well on a leash, “sit” when told, and possibly know more commands. Just ask me! I’m at my happiest when I get regular mental stimulation and exercise. I enjoy a challenge! I’m very intelligent and energetic, so continuing training and participation in activities would make me one happy dog. So would a home of my own with a family who shares my enthusiasm for life!
