Hi… my name is Callie,

Adopted with Stella 3-7-17

I just want to know one thing: why is it that dogs often get to go with their owners when they move and we cats draw the short straw? I’d say that’s racial profiling, except my mom really did love me, so I guess maybe she didn’t have a choice. At any rate, my sister, Stella, and I are going to miss the family, but we’re both so enchanting, that I’m confident we’ll find new digs soon. Mom said, “Callie is very active, playful and loves mouse toys, and will come up to you to be petted (but lets you know when she’s had enough!).” If you ask me, that’s just typical cat behavior, so come take a gander at me, spend a little time, and let’s see what we can work out!

Hi… my name is Mandy,

Adopted 2-7-17

Mandy comes with Free Vet Care for Life.

After my mom died, her daughter wanted so badly to keep me, but one of her other cats (who she called “my neurotic Bengal!”) simply made my life miserable. She said, “Mandy deserves a better home than I can provide. She is a good kitty, loves to be brushed, eats only dry food, and always uses her litterbox. She loves to sit in a window (and if the window is open, that’s even better!), take long naps under a light blanket, and at her age deserves a loving home and a warm lap to sit on.” I’m a beautiful 14-year-old calico lady (with free vet care life) and have a sweet, affectionate nature, so won’t you let me spend the rest of my life making yours happy?

Hi… my name is Sonja,

Adopted 3-8-17

I’ve had a hard life in my two short years! My rescuer said that I’d given birth to fourteen kittens since March 2016 (there aren’t any more in my future thanks to TALGV though!), and even though I’m terrified of the outdoors, that’s where I had to spend my life. Thankfully, she saved me from all that, but it’s left a bit of a mark on me and I’m a really “needy” girl (in a good way!) who only wants to be safe and loved. I really don’t think that’s asking too much, do you? It may take a while for me to realize that those days are behind me, but I know you’ll make the transition to becoming the companion I’m meant to be really easy for me!

Hi… my name is Bella,

Adopted 2-5-18

If looks alone were all that mattered in life, I’d be a real winner! With my lovely calico coat and orange eyes, I’m a real showstopper! I lived quite happily with a family for about a year when they adopted another cat, and I have to be honest and say I wasn’t exactly enamored of him (and truth be told, I preferred the adults to the kids too!). Well, things just didn’t work out for me, so I’m back hoping for a quiet home where I can be your only love. I like chasing a laser light (you just can’t catch those things, can you!), and sleeping near you (I particularly like to be under your bed), so why not let it be just you and me going through life together?

Hi… my name is Sweet Pea,

Adopted July 4, 2016

I’m hoping I’ll have the opportunity to attest to the saying “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade!” I’ve had a mighty hard time in my 7 years, and recently when the shelter I lived in closed, it just added to my anxiety. Fortunately TALGV was there for me (and several of my friends), so I’m safe for now, but it may take me a while before I appreciate that this is the penultimate stop in my life. The ultimate, of course, will be when you take me home and remind me how wonderful living with humans can be. I have a feeling that I earned my name sometime in the past, so won’t you please give me a chance to prove it?

Hi… my name is Moonlight,

You know how humans have “empty nest syndrome” when their kids leave home? Well, cats can have that too! I gave birth to my babies under a porch in Sahuarita, and the homeowners brought me to TALGV a few days later. I immediately went to live with a foster mom ‘til my kids were old enough to go off on their own, but now that they’re gone, I’m awfully lonely without them. The volunteers are being ever so nice to me, and trying to make up for my loss, so I’m slowly “coming around” with their tender ministration. I was, as they say, a“ child bride” at 18 months, so have got years and years ahead of me to make YOU my family!

Hi… my name is Cydney,

Adopted June 29, 2016

So far, 2016 hasn’t been the best of years for me or my housemates, Chad, Carley, and Chase. After our dad died, I guess someone thought they were doing a good thing by leaving us outside and feeding us, but after a few months, we became more and more guarded, as there were so many threatening things out there and we had to learn to survive. Once upon a time though, we were very sweet cats, and as the volunteers are discovering, we’re become more trusting each day. It may take a while for us to adapt to new homes, but we will, we promise, if you’ll just give us a chance, and make the rest of 2016 one in which we can resume our old friendly ways.

Hi… my name is Saby,

Adopted May 20, 2016

Having survived in the wild for a while (well, Sahuarita isn’t exactly “wild,” but you get my drift!), you can understand how I might be a smidge shy with new people at first. I was found, along with my three babies, when they were only a few weeks old and we were cared for until “the kids” were old enough to be adopted. Our rescuers found homes two of them, but since the family was moving, they had to bring my daughter, Caper, and me here. I’m a sweet, beautifully marked calico lady who enjoys serious petting (once I get to know you!) and, as my human mom said, “she’ll eat absolutely anything!” So all I need is a little bit of time, a whole lot of love, and you to make my life complete!
