Hi… my name is Blondie,

Adopted October 12, 2016

I had puppies not too long ago, so I know about that big responsibility—making sure everyone is present and accounted for, fed and protected. But now that my pups are growing and moving on to their own homes, I can relax a bit and enjoy a little extra attention for me, too! I’d almost forgotten how nice it is to have someone pet your head, take you for a walk in the sunshine, and talk kindly. Some of that kind talk is complimentary about my big brown eyes and soft blonde coat, but mainly I just love the company. I have my figure back, now just 34 pounds—a nice size for many different households—so how about we meet today and see if we’re a nice fit into each other’s hearts, too.

Thanks for looking at my pictures. My biography is under construction. Please stop back again to read about me or… even better… stop in at TALGV to meet me soon. Kennels are open 10-2 every day.

Arrived July 5, 2016

PS I just got back from the groomer where they shaved off all of my matted coat. As you can see from my photos, I am not at my best right now. But just wait a bit and you will see a big improvement.

Hi… my name is Fortune,

Adopted November 16, 2016

One hot day I was rescued from the desert by a man who saw me walking alone, clearly lost. He said I was friendly and willing to get into his truck—you bet I was! Imagine my relief to be in the company of that good man, who took care of me for two weeks while trying to find where I belonged. He said I got along with his Rottweiller, enjoyed walks, and alerted to strangers. Eventually, he brought me here, where I’ve continued to gain weight (I was too thin when found) and made lots more friends because, volunteers say, I’m a fun guy with personality-plus! I’m 2 years old, a Shepherd mix male, now about 50 pounds, who just wants to be part of a happy home. Could it be with you?

Hi… my name is Corona,

Adopted July 12, 2016

I came to TALGV with three other 6-month-old dogs, so I’ve had good company. We were not as lucky in the home department, though, because our original family couldn’t keep us. So we’re here now, where each of us can find a forever home. I’m a Lab/Terrier mix female, about 32 pounds, with a beautiful, very light cream-colored coat. At 6 months, I still have things to learn but already know how to play with balls and toys, get along well with others, and was gentle and tolerant when given the chance to be with children. Home is a dream now, but I just know that one magical day, someone wonderful will look at me and say, “I want to meet that dog,” and then we’ll both fall in love.   Could my wonderful someone be you?

Hi… my name is Dove,

Adopted June 15, 2016

I’ll share the sad part of my story first: I was abandoned, left behind when my person moved. And there may have been more cause for sadness before that, but I’m okay now—safe and cared for at TALGV—so let’s move on quickly to the good stuff. The walks, cozy blankets and soft bed here are great, and best of all I love the kindnesses—the gentle touches and sweet words. They tell me to say more about myself, so here goes: I’m 5 years old, a luscious cream color with charcoal highlights, female, and little. I hope you like little, cause I can’t really get bigger. And the main thing: I’ll give my whole heart to the person who adds true love and kindness to my life forever. Please say that’s you.
