If you know about Garfield the cat, you know about Nermal! Garfield was jealous of Nermal because he was such a cute kitten—and I’m awfully cute too. Allergies meant the end of my last home. Mom says I’m a friendly girl who likes head rubs. The volunteers here know that I love laps and will talk and purr and knead with my paws when I’m enjoying their attention. I’m not too sure about other cats, but I did have a feline roommate before. Maybe I just like being the “top cat.” Please come say hello and let’s see if I can claim my top spot at your home!

As a young cat I appeared in a neighborhood and was trapped and brought to the Animal League. Chances are I was out on my own for just a short time—but it was long enough to leave me frightened and shy. However, I was adopted by a nice lady who helped me come out of my shell. Now that she can no longer care for me, I’m back looking for a nice home. The volunteers here say I’m pretty friendly and I really like scratching and brushing. I’m hoping for a chance to show my better qualities. I’m a handsome boy with a fluffy tabby coat–won’t you come meet me and say hello?

My life began in a parking lot at Safeway, but it got better. I was adopted with my bonded companion, Nina, and had a good year or so. Our owner died, though, so we are here looking for a new home together. I’m very outgoing and like children. When I want attention, I will meow for it! I’ve been hanging out by the door here to meet whoever comes by. When I get attention, I’ll rub your face. I like being petted and brushed. I have medium-length fur that is white and grey. My coat is mostly grey stripes but I have lots of white too. Here at The Animal League, I’m looking for a home where I can be your only cat. In return I’ll play with you, let you brush me, and roll on my back for petting. I will be OK with children (not sure about dogs). Does that sound like a bargain? Well then, what are you waiting for?
