As a kitten I was found living under a car, wandering around a storage lot with my siblings. We all came to The Animal League where I was adopted with my brother. You can see how cute I was as a kitten by looking at my photos on the website. I’m a big boy now and I love treats. Unfortunately, mom is now ill and can’t care for me any longer. I’m very friendly and will roll on my back for attention. I get along fine with other cats, but I’ve never been around children. I’m ready for my second real home and I hope it can be with you! I am just the cutest thing with four furry paws! You MUST come to meet me. I have heard that humans love lap cats, so I’m practicing my lap cat pose. So far, I’ve mastered jumping on the volunteer’s lap and turning around and around. Just can’t quite find my comfortable pose yet! But I do like to snuggle which brings smiles to the volunteers’ faces. I was found in the desert (horrible place for cats!) and brought to The Animal League by a kind person. I am inquisitive, friendly, and playful. I especially like wand toys. I have a sweet meow-squeak. I’m looking for my own home, and it just might be yours! I’m waiting.

I had a pretty good life until babies entered my home. I was deemed unsuitable so I was shunted aside until my family decided to move—without me. I feel a bit unwanted! At least they brought me to The Animal League, where I’m showing off my best qualities. I do like to hang out in a cubby but come right out for attention. I will get in your lap and I like petting and brushing. I would love to find a home where I can feel safe, and where I can show you affection in return. To sweeten the deal, at my age I come with Vet Care Support for Life.

I’m not sure how I found myself outside and alone, but I picked out a good looking house and started meowing at the door. Guess what? It worked! They brought me to The Animal League and I’m pleased as punch. No shrinking violet, I know a good thing when I see it. I love to be petted and brushed and will roll over to show my appreciation. I guess I earned my name because I was found in the back yard of a nice person who knew what to do—bring me to The Animal League. We’re not sure how I got to be outside. Here I enjoy sleeping in a cubby, and I like it when the volunteers scratch my cheeks and brush me. I’m very handsome, with a grey striped coat. I’m still getting used to being here, and they are trying to fatten me up by tempting me with all kinds of foods. Evidently, I found a formula for getting some TLC! Stray. That word conjures up sad times for me and my buddy Rumple. We were found outside our rescuer’s house. How did we get there? No one knows. What IS known is that at The Animal League I’m a friendly guy who wants a home of my own. It’s best that I’m an ONLY PET. Although I get along okay with other felines at the shelter, I did not get along with another cat who was adopted along with me. In that home, I was outgoing and a greeter. They said I was street-smart and intelligent. I liked to play with toys. I appreciated their attention. With that said, if you want an only pet, I’m yours!

Feisty

“Look at those awesome eyes!” That’s what they said when I arrived – and one look and you’ll know they weren’t just “whistlin’ Dixie!” Sometimes they look coppery and sometimes a glowing green. I don’t really live up to my name. I hang out in a soft cubby here but am easily coaxed out and will rub your legs for attention. I like being petted and don’t mind being picked up. I’ve lived in two different homes, and through no fault of my own I find myself looking for a new one now. In my middle age I believe I could be your best companion!
