Hi… my name is Gizmo,

Adopted 4-27-18

Well, there’s petite and then there’s downright TINY – and that’s what you’d get with me (especially since I’m a Manx and don’t have a tail, so there seems to be even less of me!). But don’t confuse quantity with quality, ‘cause that’s one attribute I’ve got that in spades! I’m a super sweet slip of a thing whose human mom lost her home. She had to move in with a friend who had two VERY BIG dogs who were not at all enamored with cats, so safety came first and here I am! I’ve lived with (nice!) dogs and other cats, so adaptable is my middle name. If you come to visit and give me a chuck under the chin, I’m guessing you’ll be sold!

Hi… my name is DeeDee,

Adopted 5-26-21

You don’t see smoky tabby coats like mine very often, so come take a gander and feel how soft it is in person! It’ll take some daily grooming to keep it in shape, but that’ll just be a way for us to get to spend more time together! My mom, who was a TALGV volunteer, passed away recently and since my housemate, Barney, and I lived with her (and a dog) all our lives, I know she’d be happy if we could stay together (and it’d be super helpful in making an adjustment to a new life). We’ve never been around kids, so a quiet home would be the perfect place to start a new life!

Hi… my name is Timon,

Adopted to be with Neiko 4-6-21

Some days you wish you hadn’t even bothered getting out of bed! That’s how I felt the day my friend, Neiko, and I lost our beloved mom and had to come here. Cats tend to be “place oriented,” so it takes some of us longer to adjust to change than others (and since I’m on the shy side, it’s taking me even longer). Yes, we’re getting attention, but with the shelter effectively shut down they’re short staffed, so not as much as we’d like. Hence my plea: won’t some warm-hearted person adopt me and give me a new lease on life.

Hi… my name is Vincent,

Adopted 12-27-21

You guessed it – I’m named after the famous painter Vincent Van Gogh or “Vinny Van GoGo” as they call me. What a mistake they made when they trapped me as a feral and clipped the tip of my one good ear ‘cause I turned out to be a big friendly guy who loves gentle petting and cheek rubs. I don’t get along very well with my roommate here right now, but in another setting maybe I’d be okay. Although my health is good, I may need to be on a special urinary diet for life, but if you give me a chance, I’ll show you how my company can brighten all of life’s simple pleasures.

Hi… my name is Mouse,

Adopted 2-20-21

When you see my face, you’ll understand how I got my name ‘cause it sure isn’t because I’m “mousy”! I come from a long line of “rescued from the boonies” cats and although my life with my rescuer was okay, there was a limit to how many of us she could accommodate, so here I am and happily, I can be yours! Here’s her summary of me: “Mouse is a sweet girl who can be shy initially but likes people. She’ll play by herself, with other cats, dogs, or with you and she loves feathers. Once she knows you, she’ll follow you and (preferably) rest on your chest.” Hey, what more could you want?

Hi… my name is Panda,

Adopted 2-14-21

You’ll be able to picture the condition of my coat when I arrived when you learn that I’d been cruising the parking lot of an apartment complex for several weeks, as they sure aren’t the cleanest of places for a mostly white cat! Grey, greasy, and grimy pretty much describes it, but when the volunteers here have finished all their ministrations, whoa baby, I’m gonna be a looker (and a lover too – you can tell right away when I flop over for a good “going over”)! I’m a petite 1-year-old girl who is reveling in the attention I’m getting and ever so looking forward to continuing that custom in a nice safe home with you!

Hi… my name is Murphy,

Adopted with Cat 2-8-21

I’m an easygoing sort of fella that likes to just sit, observe and check things out, so I may seem a little shy at first, but I’m not. Once you call me over, I love to be petted, and enjoy lots of attention. My housemate, Cocoa, and I have been together since I was a kitten. Our mom passed away and we dearly miss her, so I know staying together would be a comfort to him in his golden years (and Cocoa to me, of course!). We’re both social gents that would make loving companions for anyone who’d like calm “let’s-just-hang-together” fellas. Oh, and we did live with dogs, so there’s that to recommend us, too!
