Hi… my name is Harley.

Adopted August 31, 2015

Since I am ten years old, I come with FREE Vet Care for Life.

After ten years of living with three dogs and another cat that were beating me up (“it makes him reclusive and stressed and is just too unhealthy a living environment” my family said), they finally decided that I needed to find a place where I could be the only pet. Thank goodness! At heart I really am a sweet, gentle feline who relishes petting so I’d love to have the chance to show you the “real me” without the influence of other alpha animals picking on me! I’m a handsome, laid back 10-year-old tabby and white gentleman, who because of my age, comes with Free Vet Care for Life. Don’t you think that I deserve to be your one and only love after all I’ve been through? I sure do!

Hi… my name is Fraggie.

Adopted June 30, 2015

It might take you a bit to figure out why my siblings, Remy, Scrapper, Smidgen, and I are called the “Pisces Pieces” litter, but put your thinking cap on and it won’t take long (our mom was named Pisces)! Our human mom gave TALGV lots of information about us, and here’s the story on me: “Fraggie is a party boy – always active and ready to play with you and his siblings. He’s affectionate and the most purry of the litter and likes to be held on his back. But beware — he’s lightning quick and can be out the door in a moment if you’re not careful!” That’s probably all you really need to know about me except that I’m a little shorthaired classic “mackerel” tabby boy, and I’m available!

Hi… my name is Fenley.

Adopted June 27, 2015

I’ve discovered that chain link fences and cats just don’t mix! I was found wedged in one with a three-inch gash in my leg that TALGV has very kindly patched up, so I’ll be good to go in no time. I think I’ve had quite enough of the outdoor life to last for the rest of my nine lives, so I’ll be eternally grateful for a home where I can romp and explore without fear of something like that “getting me” again! I’m just a youngster at 18 months, and am a classic tabby and white girl who’ll undoubtedly be happy with a lap, a cozy bed, and a family (and maybe a feline playmate?) to help me while away the seasons in climate-controlled comfort!

Hi… my name is Leah.

Adopted November 2, 2015

I may hold the dubious record for cats “returned most times to TALGV” through no fault of my own! I arrived as a stray for the first time back in 2010. I was adopted shortly thereafter, but my mom died a year later. I was adopted again, but that person had “too many outside interests,” and I came back one more time. Then, three years ago I was adopted by a couple that is now moving to a place that doesn’t allow pets! All my families have said that I’m a loving, playful, gentle lady (albeit a bit shy at times), and since I’m a beautiful combination of dilute tortoiseshell and grey tabby, I have high hopes that this year will see me in my really, truly, honest-to-goodness finally “forever” home!

Hi… my name is Oreo.

Adopted June 26, 2015

Yes, I know, some cats don’t travel well, but my siblings (Bert and Ernie) and I sure would have made an exception if our family had given it a shot when they moved to Illinois! I mean, really, after living with them all our lives, we would have bitten the bullet and made one long trip in order to stay with them in their new home. Well, anyway, they didn’t so now’s your chance to augment your life with one healthy, loving, and affectionate guy (or two or three — we all get along great)! I love to chase toy mice and those crinkle balls, and can be quiet/laid back one minute and playful/kittenlike the next (ah, the joy of surprise!), so I’m hoping my great personality will win you over after just a brief tête-à-tête!

Hi… my name is Trouble,

Adopted February 6, 2016

No, I don’t live up to my name! My given name was “Boots” but my first family called me “Trouble” because I sometimes liked to unravel toilet paper rolls (I understand that that hobby isn’t totally unique to me!). After my dad died, mom couldn’t care for me alone any longer, so I came to TALGV in 2014. Another family adopted me shortly afterward, but they though I was a bit too independent for them (they said I didn’t like to be hugged or come when called — not very “catlike” things anyway!). I’m a 2-year-old declawed tabby and white boy who’s active, affectionate, curious, and loves to play with toys on strings. So if you’re looking for entertainment, a purry friend, and don’t mind a few shredded TP rolls, then I’m your guy!

Hi… my name is Baby Girl.

Adopted August 2, 2015

When the volunteers saw “CHC” listed as my breed on my intake information, they were really stumped! After sifting through the papers though, they discovered that my owners considered me a “common house cat”! Well, hey — there’s nothing common about me — we felines are all unique! My senior mom recently developed extreme health issues, so unfortunately my friend, Little Big Man, and I needed to move on. Dad said, “Although initially shy with strangers she will eventually come out to investigate. She’s quite gentle and great to be with, plays with action toys and human held ones, and is a great regal lady that a quiet family will be very happy with.” I’m a beautiful “Maine Coon-like” tabby who just needs one last home that I’m hoping will include Little Big Man.

Hi… my name is Meowner.

Adopted January 16, 2016

My mom, a dog (that we never interacted with since he lived outside), my siblings, Flounder, Ariel, and I were on the verge of homelessness when our mom moved to a “no pets” place, so we’re all exceedingly glad TALGV was there for us and not the streets! Despite the upheaval in our lives, we’re all outgoing, sweet critters who will settle right in to new homes in no time I’m sure. I’m a gorgeous and companionable medium-haired tabby girl, 8 months old (I was born on August 25, 2014, so you can celebrate my birthday every year!), and want more than anything to be able to show you how appreciative I’ll be for a lap, a cat tree, two squares, and a treat or two when I’m good (and that’s always)!
