Hi… my name is Bubbles,

Adopted 5-19-19

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

A warm breeze, a soft bed, a loved one nearby—“these are a few of my favorite things.” Born in June 2008, I’m in my golden years, which means—among other things—I come with Free Vet Care for Life! And I still possess a dog’s gift for living in the moment. A walk—even inside the house—makes me happy, I love being petted, spending time on an enclosed porch, and fully admit to frequent napping. A few times I’ve been grouchy about putting on my leash and since my former people will be traveling, they didn’t want to leave me with someone else. So I need a new permanent home—a comfy place where I can quietly spend my golden days with someone to love forever. Could that wonderful someone be you?

Hi… my name is Jack,

Adopted with Jill 2-2-19

Jill and I were found together—sitting on the side of a frontage road when our kind rescuer (bless her!) opened the door of her truck and let us jump in with her dog. On the night we spent with her, she praised us for not barking, being housetrained, and good with her dogs. Of course! Jill and I are just that way—we’re friendly, calm and sweet. Granted, I’m stronger; the person on the other end of my leash needs to be strong, too. Jill is gentler, a bit softer. And both of us like people very much. We love your attention, affection, and will always try to please you. So it’s up to you. We can meet, be friends, and maybe even share that place that’s better than all others: a loving home.

Hi… my name is Boots,

Adopted 1-6-19

“This cat has roamed our neighborhood for weeks, is tame, and loves small dogs so she was obviously raised with one. I noticed a wound on her head, so brought her to TALGV.” That’s apparently my story, so I guess I have to stick with it! I will say that it’s SUCH a relief to have all the stitches our of my head (and doubly so since I no longer have to wear that dreaded “E-collar”!), so now I’m just a happy, affectionate 18-month-old gal who’d love to show you how grateful and loving I can be. I’m hopeful that the New Year will bring me a new (indoor only!) life and person to love!

Hi… my name is Jon-Jon,

Adopted 12-19-18

Comes with FREE Vet Care for Life

I came to TALGV after the death of my dear person. With me I brought my happy, gentle spirit fostered by years spent with someone who loved me, my favorite toys, and one wish: That a wonderful someone will share their home and heart with me. I’m a Chinese Crested male, just 12 pounds, so I could fit on your lap if you like to cuddle, and walk nicely by your side. A very handsome fellow with a wavy grey and white coat, at 11 years of age, I come with FREE vet care for life and here’s hoping that applies for a long time! I was named for a rock star (Jon Bon Jovi) and I’m ready to give you my all when I sing “I Only Want to Be With You.”

Hi… my name is Lee Lou,

Adopted 12-23-18

This from my mom’s daughter: “Lee Lou is our good luck cat! She’s very playful, alone or with other cats. She loves the red pull strings from the top of dog food bags, and tosses and carries them around the house. She also loves walking up your chest and rubbing her face on your cheek. She loved Fuzzy and they usually slept together. She’s being released because my mother (a TALGV volunteer) died and I can’t keep all her cats. I would if I could because Lee Lou is a sweet, loving lady who’s incredibly fun to watch and interact with. She’ll need some TLC to become comfortable in her new forever home, but she’s worth it!”

Hi… my name is Fiesta,

Adopted 12-89-18

Before coming here, I was one of fifteen dogs all living together in the same place! Different breeds, genders, ages—mainly small to medium small—and we all got along. Still do! We’re a sweet, loving bunch. But when our people moved and couldn’t take everyone with them, most of us came here—some of us shy, others very friendly, and each one hoping for the same thing: A new, comfy, loving home. We’re already experiencing new things; leashes and doggie doors were unknown to us, and we’ve not been around small children. I’m a 2-year-old gray and white Staffie mix female, 49 pounds, sometimes full of vim and vigor, and always happy to be with friends. Lively and fun, I have a quiet dream of being loved by you just for being me.

Hi… my name is Smokey,

Adopted 10-16-18

I can’t say it better than my mom: “Smokey is almost like a human baby! He loves everyone, sleeps in bed with us, is super friendly, loves being petted and cuddling, likes to talk, tells you when he’s hungry by following you around – and he absolutely adores his brother, Stash.” It was those dreaded “landlord issues” that caused us to lose our home, but we were one big happy family with three cats, three kids, and an American bulldog (so maybe things were a smidge too “active!”). I’m an awesome Russian Blue boy, about 2½ years old, and I’m just sitting here waiting for YOU to appear to take me home (maybe even with Stash)!

Hi… my name is Sampson,

Adopted with Punkin 9-29-18

You know the saying, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure” has been around for a long time for a reason, and when some people move and abandon their pets, they’re really relying on that happening! Well, happily I know I’ll prove it true, ‘cause I’m just as sweet and loving as can be and will make some lucky person the companion of their dreams. I’m a shorthaired grey tabby and white boy, about 3 years old, and handsome as all get-out to boot! Sometimes when pets have gone through “trauma,” they double down on niceness, so that’s what I’ve done. I’m here just waiting to show you what a joy it’ll be to have me around!
