Sasha was adopted December 3, 2014.
SASHA (Xatia) is a cute and sweet mini Staffie mix who was inherited but can’t be kept by new owner. She gets along with other dog but cats are unknown. She knows sit and would learn quickly. She was housebroken in the past but could use more training now. Her shots are up to date and she will be spayed courtesy of TALGV. She dances and prances and would love to share your company and your home. There is no adoption fee for Sasha.
If you would welcome Sasha into a loving home as part of your family, please call Carlota between 8 AM and 8 PM at 1-520-455-8462.

So you’re looking at me and thinking, “should I or shouldn’t I?” Let me weigh in on that decision and suggest you should! And let me count the reasons! I’m awesomely handsome. I’m sweet. I’m smart; I’m friendly, and I LIKE DOGS!! And I’m only about 2 years old, so just think of all the years we’ll have ahead of us making “whoopee” (or whatever!). The handsome part comes from my Russian Blue genes. The rest of it just comes from a great personality, the desire to have a home and person of my own, and just plain being grateful that I was rescued and can now share my gratitude with a human or two (and maybe even a cat-loving canine!). So as they say about exercising: just DO IT!

I’m hopeful that the old adage “third time’s a charm” applies to me, because I have to admit that through no fault of my own, I’ve “been around the block” a few times! Sadly, my previous senior owners had to go into assisted living and I ended back here both times. My recent mom says that I’m a very sweet lady, though, and I love to play with laser lights, crumpled paper, and tossed cat treats (exercise you know!). I am beautiful, 7-year-old, Siamese and dilute torti mix girl with enchanting green eyes, and my goal is to find a home with someone who is a real “cat person” and loves the “chatty” Siamese personality. Will you be the one to give me one more chance?

My mom, a long-time volunteer at TALGV, was obviously “into” calicos as she had five of us (all adoptees of course!), so when she had to go into assisted living, she knew there would be no better place to care for us until we found new homes. Not to toot my own horn, but I’m an awesomely beautiful (and basically sweet) longhaired “dilute” version, and although at the moment, I’m not “into” being picked up (like a lot of cats) I’m sure that when I get over my loss I’ll make your life just as happy as I did my mom’s. Why not “make her day” and take me home so the volunteers can let her know I’ve got a new lease on life?

When I lived with my mom she said I was quiet, laid back, and cuddly, was good with the resident cat, but “avoided” her dogs. (Frankly, dogs scare me!) I’m doing AOK with other cats here, so might be fine with a calm feline. It’s taken some time for me to feel safe enough to come out of my shell, but everyone says that I’ve really warmed up beautifully. Call me and I happily show up for some love. Bring a brush, and I’ll let you brush my beautiful long, grey hair. I’d love a quiet home where I can feel safe and be my old sweet, happy self, so if you’re someone who wants a friend for the long haul, why not give me one more chance to prove myself?

It’s amazing what miracles a little love and patience can work! I had been “living rough” in Arivaca for several months, relying on the kindness of strangers for food. After the volunteers rounded me up and brought me here I was pretty frightened for a while, but as the days have gone by, I’m finding that life (and the humans who go along with it) really can be grand and am coming out of my shell more each day seeking attention (I ADORE having my belly scratched!). I’m a charming Poodle and maybe Norfolk terrier mix girl, and if you spend some time sitting with me, you’ll see that all I really want is a safe home and a loving family that I can shower with loyalty and gratitude.
