Hi… my name is Pear Tree.

Adopted May 11, 2015

My sister, Partridge, and I (I guess we were “Christmas babies”!) came to TALGV when our mom could no longer care for us after 8 years. We’d been living with dogs (that scared the dickens out of us!) and tortoises (which were okay), and just her (whom we loved), so it’s taking us a long time to adjust to our change in circumstances. She said that we were both shy, but would climb into her lap now and then “when the spirit moved us.” We both like to play with toys, however, and adore watching “the action” from a nice big window or porch, so I think once we find a place where there isn’t so much going (like there is here) we’ll revert to our quietly affectionate ways. Could you give us that chance?

Hi… my name is Puss.

Adopted September 1, 2016

Puss comes with FREE Vet Care for Life.

It’s nice when humans move in together to care for one another when they’re ill, but sometimes we companions can’t always accompany them. When my mom had to go live with her step-mom, it turned out she was terribly allergic to cats, so I’m “on the market” again. I’m a striking, longhaired, Siamese/Himalayan guy who has lived with kids and dogs and who likes laser lights, cat toys, and most especially to be scratched under my chin and on my chest. Mom says that I occasionally give “love bites” to let you know when I’ve had enough, and that since I was abused as a youngster, I sometimes take time to warm up to you, but once I do, I’ll be your best friend forever! Oh, and I come with Free Vet Care for Life!

Hi… my name is Peaches.

I was adopted March 19, 2014.

My girlfriend (and maybe sister), Cream, and I were snatched from the middle of Frontage Road near Los Arroyos just in the nick of time before being hit by a car. To say that we were frightened is the understatement of the year, but now that we’ve been brought to safety at TALGV, we’re beginning to show our gratitude for that rescue by coming out of shells more each day. We’re tiny, “sort of” wire-haired terrier mix girls (with maybe a wee bit of Mexican hairless thrown in?),  and it would be so wonderful if we could stay together in a new home. I can pretty much promise that we will be “Velcro” dogs because neither of us wants to ever have to deal with such trauma again! Won’t you make our dreams come true by giving us a new lease on life?

BB

Hi… my name is BB.

Actually, my “given” name is Keyper BB Seven, but you can just call me BB! My sister, Me-Me Bella, and I came from a family of four Pugs and lived with our canine parents, cats, kids and a human mom all our lives until she crossed the “Rainbow Bridge” recently. I’m a purebred Pug gentleman who loves to play and am VERY good in the house. I like to take long naps, and when it’s time to go to bed I go to sleep right away and stay quiet all night (unless there’s something going on that I need to tell you about!). I’m going to miss my other family and they’ll miss us, but since TALGV wants my sister and me to stay together, I know we’ll be fine because when we have new people to take care of and shower our love on, we’ll be just as friendly and well behaved as we’ve always been!

Hi… my name is Me-Me Bella.

Actually, my “given” name is Me-Me Arrow Bella, but you can just call me Me-Me Bella! My brother, BB, and I came from a family of four Pugs and lived with our canine parents, cats, kids and a human mom all our lives until she crossed the “Rainbow Bridge” recently. I’m a purebred, 8-year-old lady who loves to play and am VERY good in the house. I like to take long naps, and when it’s time to go to bed I go to sleep right away and stay quiet all night (unless there’s something going on that I need to tell you about!). Hi… my name is Simon.

Adopted September 27, 2014.

When my mom died, there was no one who could take my sister and me in so true to its mission TALGV came to the rescue. I was pretty disoriented for a while as things were awfully topsy-turvy for me, but now that I’ve gotten my “sea legs” under me I’m my usual outgoing, people-loving self. I’m a charming, shorthaired tabby and white gentleman,  and I lived with my single mom for three years. During that time, kids of all ages visited the house, and I was okay with them, but basically I led a fairly quiet life enjoying the company of mom and my sister, so I have high hopes that there’s a kind soul out there who will give me a third chance at life.

Hi… my name is Heidi.

I was adopted on June 25, 2014.

When our mom died recently, there was no one who could take my brother, Simon, and me in, so true to its mission TALGV came to the rescue. We’re both pretty disoriented right now as things have been awfully topsy-turvy for us for a while, but I’m sure once we get our “sea legs” under us we’ll return to our usual outgoing, people-loving selves. I’m a charming, shorthaired tabby and white lady, and I lived with my single mom for three years (no one is quite sure where I was before then). During that time, kids of all ages visited the house, and I was okay with them, but basically I led a fairly quiet life enjoying the company of mom and Simon (who I really hope I can stay with!), so I have high hopes that there’s a kind soul out there who will give us both a third chance at life.
