Codi is a happy, energetic, and social 6-year-old, 8-pound, ShihPoo male that needs a new home. He is crate trained, leash trained, house trained (asks to go out), and obedience trained (sit, down, shake hands and come). He is in good health (teeth have been cleaned recently), is neutered and up to date on shots; his medical records are available. Codi gets along with other dogs but not with cats, is best with adults but may be okay with older children. He loves to sit on your lap or just hang out with his people. There is no adoption fee. When I was just a few weeks old I was rescued from dogs and lived with a nice lady who had other animals–maybe too many animals, so here I am. She says I’m sweet natured and very laid back. I’m affectionate and like to sleep next to you. TALGV volunteers say I’m cuddly and playful and will purr my satisfaction. I have a handsome charcoal grey coat with a slightly lighter-colored mouth. At my young age I’m ready to give years of entertainment and love. I just need the right person to come claim me! Can you come see if it is meant to be you? I’m ready when you are.

Masterpieces by Michelangelo, Beethoven and DaVinci, took time, patience and love to come to fruition. Those treasures were certainly worth the effort, right? Well, with those same tools, you can transform this 47-lb bundle of happy energy into the best dog I can be! A kind human found me wearing a “deaf dog” collar and, sadly, nobody claimed me. But, happily, my TALGV friends are helping me channel my energy into learning good manners as well as hand signal commands (you know deaf dogs hear with their hearts, right?), and all the while I’m having fun and making more friends. A lovely grey and white lady… a bundle of love I am! I love to be brushed and need to be brushed! I so appreciate being petted. I lived in a home with adults, but I wasn’t so fond of children. I do like to play with mesh tubes and to scratch on cardboard. My favorite sleeping places are in my own bed or on the sofa. I’m here at TALGV because of human allergies in my home. My people described me as independent, needy, and shy with strangers….so take your pick and come meet me to see for yourself.
