Arriving at The Animal League as part of The Simpson’s litter, I was rather grumpy. My human could no longer adequately care for me due to his work travel and knew I needed more human attention. So, here I am waiting for you! I have lived with adults and teenagers, a dog and other cats. I was allowed outside and did not get along with outdoor cats. Indoors is a much better place for me! In my last home I was loving and playful. I lived with a senior couple and another cat until my human dad died, and mom moved into a place that didn’t allow pets. I loved my humans but didn’t care for the other cat. I slept on the couch or bed. Although I’m toothless, I’m a good eater (especially canned food.) That was a comfortable life, a far cry from my beginnings when I was rescued from a storm drain! Soulful and serene, I’ve been known to give “kitty-lick-kisses.” I’ve had several homes in which I adored my humans. Sadly, each one became ill and could no longer care for me. Although I have lived with other cats and a dog, I now prefer to be an “only pet” in a quiet home where my human(s) can give me their full attention. Although I may be skittish initially, I warm up to humans quickly. I love belly rubs, brushing, and active playtime. I’m very snuggly with my human; I’m a loyal companion. Well, I guess I was used to “catting around” on the loose because at 3 years I was all male, if you know what I mean. Here I’ve had a little operation that has calmed me a bit but left me somewhat confused. I’m sure I’ll adjust! I have a beautiful long orange coat and like to be brushed. Some of my roommates are not to my liking so I’d really like a place of my own. Kids are probably not my cup of tea since I play a little rough. Otherwise, I’m prepared for a change.
