Adopted 3-29-20

STELLA is a kind, affectionate, and social 6-year-old, 60-pound, Cattle Dog mix female who needs a new home. She is crate trained, leash trained, and house trained (asks to go out). She is working on obedience training but knows “sit” and “shake.” She is in good health, spayed, up to date on shots and medical records are available. Stella is good with other dogs and older children. She can be shy at first with strangers but is a very sweet, gentle, and tender-hearted girl. There is no adoption fee. If you will welcome Stella into a loving home as part of your family, please call Andrea between 9 AM and 7 PM at 520-307-9481.

Hi… my name is Lucy,

Adopted to Coonhound Rescue 3-24-20

Did you ever meet a Coonhound? Well, let me introduce myself. I’m a 10-month-old female Coonhound that would really love to meet you in person. My breed is generally easy going, even tempered, trusting, gentle, and loving. Since I’m still a puppy, proper obedience training will help me learn how to become a good member of the family. I need a person who can give me a lot of love and patience. My bark might be too loud for an apartment, and I probably shouldn’t be left alone for extended periods of time. The family I lived with for two months brought me here because they couldn’t spend appropriate time with me. If you could be patient and committed to giving me the attention and training I need, please come and meet me. I’ll be looking for you.

Hi… my name is Darla,

Adopted 1-19-20

I arrived at TALGV because I was being attacked by the dogs in my first home and then given to the lady who brought me here. At her home there were twelve other animals. I got along well with the goats and dog but not the cat. There was also a three-year-old child, and in the week that I lived with them the lady could see that I was a friendly, gentle, and good-natured girl. In my former home I lived outside with no basic obedience training. I walk well on a leash, but will need a secure yard with an enclosure over four feet high. Come and visit me soon because all I want is to be loved by someone who wants to have that love returned. You and I could be a perfect match.

Hi… my name is Tank,

Adopted 1-3-20

Yep, you got it, I’m a big solid lab mix, built like a tank (ha ha, no pun intended). The next thing you will notice about me is my milk chocolate coat. I was a little rough looking after roaming in the desert for a while, but it feels good to have my coat back to that glossy chocolaty look. When you come to see me I’m going to run up and enthusiastically greet you with lots of big wet kisses. Being a young puppy boy, I find everything exciting and will let you know about it. I have a lot to learn and hope you will help me.

Hi… my name is Pumpkin (aka Wednesday),

Adopted 2-22-20

When I arrived, my name was Wednesday, but I was so scared, I didn’t know my name from any other day of the week. The kind people here gave me a friendlier name – Pumpkin. I was injured by a new dog who came to live with my family. We had to be separated. She stayed. I came here. I used to have a big doggy “brother” who gave me confidence. It takes me a while to trust people, but when I do, I’m gentle and very loving. I’ve learned to enjoy walking on leash, especially with a male dog buddy. I’m also learning not to be afraid of going indoors. The volunteers have learned something from me: I’m highly motivated by chicken (the food, not the birds)! With time, patience, and preferably another “brother,” I’ll be a beloved addition to your family.

Hi… my name is Charles-Jay (aka Charlie),

Adopted 9-22-19

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life

Dad was my best friend. I was his devoted Red Heeler. I loved living with him and Mom, and cats and dogs for 11 years. Since Dad died, Mom has to downsize and move. Mom says I’m extraordinary. When I’m told, “Charles-Jay, take care of…” I understand and know what to do. Sissie brought home 3 Husky puppies. Mom told me, “Take care of those pups,” and I did. She said I raised them. Dad once instructed, “Take care of Skyler,” and I wound up saving my Rottie brother from a rattlesnake. I saw it and herded Skyler to the porch. Then I barked my head off until Dad came. I was dubbed a hero, but I was just doing my job. I’ll do the same for you and even come with vet care support for life!

Hi… my name is Nala,

Adopted with Nellie 1-11-20

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life if adopted with Nellie.

I am a female fun-loving and good-natured heeler mix. I get along with everyone: kids, teenagers, adults, other dogs, and my people said that I was really gentle with the baby. When they could no longer care for me and my friend Nellie, they brought us here and told everyone what a sweet and smart dog I am: I know sit, stop and get down, and I was always good at home, even when left alone. Just be ready for when you come back: I will shower you with love! I like walks, belly rubs, ear scratches, and I like Nellie. If someone will adopt us together, TALGV will provide Vet Care Support for Life. Can you come to meet us real soon?
