Hi… my name is Bonnie,

Adopted with Clyde 2-27-18

There may be a fascinating tale about how Clyde and I ended up on the side of the road (Duval Mine Road, to be specific), but our headline news is that we were rescued! I’m an 18-month-old Husky female, tricolored (silver, tan and white) with gorgeous blue eyes, and although just 60 pounds, I’m a strong dog. To quote my intake exam, I’m “very strong but sweet natured.” I like to think that’s my charming balance—strong and sweet. Volunteers say I’m friendly and loveable, too, and Clyde agrees. We’re great together and he relies on me (perhaps especially because he’s a three-legged dog), so we’d love to stay together. We know it will take someone special to adopt us both, but it could happen. Indeed, someone that wonderful could be as close as you!

Hi… my name is Buffy,

Adopted 1-2-17

I’ve had quite a time of it since I arrived! My mom had lots of other cats at her home in Amado, but when she moved into a small place in Green Valley, there was no room for us and we all had to be rounded up so we could come in to TALGV. In all the commotion, I managed to escape and was on the loose for quite a while, so although I was originally a sweet lady, I’m still a bit traumatized and it has taken me a while to settle down. That said, I’m a dazzlingly beautiful young Siamese and silver tabby girl, and I know that with love and patience on the part of a “cat person,” I’ll get back to my old self in no time.

Oak

Hi… my name is Oak,

Adopted 12-16-16

You may think that two kittens can take care of themselves in the entertainment department, but we also need a lot of human interaction, and that’s what we weren’t getting in our first home. Our people fell in love with us as roly-poly fluff balls, but they found that they were too busy with school, extracurricular activities, and working long hours, to spend time with us and when that happened, we devised our own diversions, several of which were apparently “no no’s!” So I’m back with my sister, Monica, looking for a place where I can get the attention and love that I so badly want. I’m a charming Siamese mix boy who’ll steal your heart in a trice if you’ll let me!

Ash

Hi… my name is Ash,

Adopted October 19, 2016

Oh me, oh my. I don’t know what happened in my life, but all of a sudden my mom’s gone and I’m in this new place where there are so many other cats and don’t know any of them! I’ve heard people say how nice it is here, but when you’re used to a quiet, one-person home, the change is an awfully big shock. My senior mom had to go to a nursing home, so now I’m at sixes and sevens trying to get my bearings. At 4 years old, I’ve got lots more living to do and more strolls to take (and bell toys to play with once I’m comfortable!), so won’t you help me over this current hurdle so I can get on with doing just that?

Hi… my name is Ottis,

Adopted July 12, 2016

My friend, Ringo, and I lived in the same home for years, but when our human mom realized she couldn’t take care of us anymore due to her own health concerns, she showed us her love once more by letting us go to find new homes. I’m a 7-year-old male Dachshund, extraordinarily good-looking thanks to my smooth silver dapple coat. Past treatment has left me very leery of men, but I love being with women and children, and I’ve been reported to be good with cats and other small dogs. To make you smile, I’ll sit up on my rear legs and be as cute as I can be, and here’s hoping that’s enough to make you want to come visit me today. If so, we just might find we’ll be great together forever!   (revised bio needed)

Hi… my name is Princess Ann,

Adopted June 6, 2016

In case you’re the forgetful kind, my people said that I am the most reliable alarm clock you could ever want! I “remind” them when it’s time to feed me, and in case you’ve been a tad lax in the cleaning-the-litterbox-department, I’ll give you a semi-subtle nudge in that direction too! I’ve lived happily with them and my best friend, a Chihuahua (who I’d love to stay with!), all my life but when they took on the role of being foster parents, their new job kept them away from the house for 18 days at a time. I have absolutely no “bad habits” (okay, I’m not a big fan of kids), and not the least bit picky about my food, so if you’re looking a loving blue-eyed companion, I’m raising my paw!

Hi… my name is Andy,

Adopted 9-8-17

Andy comes with Free Vet Care for Life

Phew! I now know what prisoners on death row who get a reprieve at the last minute feel like! My “crime” was not getting along with the resident cat (no problems with the dog!), so my people took me to a vet to be “sent over the rainbow bridge.” Thankfully, being a perfectly healthy gentleman, the vet referred them to TALGV, so here I am, counting my lucky stars every day! I lived with my people most of my life, and aside from wanting to be the only feline, was a perfectly behaved, happy-go-lucky guy. My blend of Siamese and silver tabby coloring gives me a certain sophistication, and that, combined with my maturity (and Free Vet Care for Life), will surely enchant just about anyone looking for a quiet companion!

My friend, Ottis, and I lived in the same home for years, but when our human mom realized she couldn’t take care of us anymore due to her own health concerns, she showed us her love once more by letting us go to find new homes. I’m a female Dachshund—my current name might make you think otherwise, but I am a girl—7-1/2 years old, and a standout in the looks department thanks to my beautiful silver dapple coat. I am shy, but reported to be good with cats, dogs, and children in the past. So, once I warm up and feel comfortable, you’ll see how loving I can be. And for fun, we could play with my favorite squeaky toys! Please come visit me today and see how great we’ll be together.
