My friend, Ringo, and I lived in the same home for years, but when our human mom realized she couldn’t take care of us anymore due to her own health concerns, she showed us her love once more by letting us go to find new homes. I’m a 7-year-old male Dachshund, extraordinarily good-looking thanks to my smooth silver dapple coat. Past treatment has left me very leery of men, but I love being with women and children, and I’ve been reported to be good with cats and other small dogs. To make you smile, I’ll sit up on my rear legs and be as cute as I can be, and here’s hoping that’s enough to make you want to come visit me today. If so, we just might find we’ll be great together forever! (revised bio needed)

You could say I did need assistance when I wandered into an assisted living facility with my dog buddy Pierre, and soon we were at TALGV. Lots of good things have happened here—they gave me a new collar because my old one was too tight, trimmed my nails, and made me feel welcome and cared for. My friend Pierre then had the best news—he was adopted! I understand why—he’s very cute and friendly. My friends say I’m cute and dear, too, so my hopes are high. Must admit I’m shy, and my charm is the quiet, cuddly kind, but maybe that’s the type of friend you’d like? I’m a 9-year-old Doxie mix female, 11 pounds, and if your heart is open to a loving little dog, I’m here waiting for you.

Hobo

My world changed when my person died last year. Another family member took care of my brother, Happy, and me, but they couldn’t do that long-term. So coming here to TALGV was another big change for us, but you know how resilient dogs can be. Given a little time and kindness, we once again find the good things in life, and that’s what I’ve done. Plus, as a good-natured Shepherd (except with cats!) I’m eager to be devoted to and happy with my person. I’m a 5 1/2-year-old male, an exceptionally handsome black and tan Shepherd mix, who’ll be ever so happy to meet you. Won’t you please come see if I’m the dog for you? If you welcome me to your home forever, I’ll be your loyal companion for forever, too.
