Hi… my name is Katie.

Adopted May 16, 2015

The people who found me named me Buttercup because I was so gosh darn cute, but after I arrived at TALGV, they discovered that I’d been microchipped, and my real name is Katie. The volunteers tried in vain to contact my owner, so here’s your chance for a totally awesome gal of your very own. My rescuers said that I was friendly, had lots of energy, and was gentle with both their kids and their little dog. Although it appears that I haven’t had a whole lot of obedience training, I do walk quite nicely on a leash, so with my willing heart and head full of smarts, being a perfectly-behaved pal should be a snap for me! I’m a pretty, medium-sized Staffie mix who’s half-past ready to begin a new life with you!

Hi… my name is Rocky.

Adopted April 24, 2015.

I’ll let my foster mom tell you about me, ‘cause I couldn’t toot my own horn any better! “Rocky is an energetic, fun-loving pup. He gets along great with two big, female dogs who weigh over 60 pounds. He is crate-trained, rides well in the car, is a good eater, and sleeps through the night. He appears to be housetrained, understands ‘no,’ loves to walk, and has no problem keeping up with the ‘pack.’ Because he’s still a teething pup, he needs to be supervised around things he might chew. He loves to explore the back yard, and doesn’t seem to be a digger. Like all puppies he’ll benefit from obedience training and exposure to lots of social settings. He seems to love everyone and everything!” What more can I say except come adopt me?

ZOEY is a 6-year-old, female Shepherd/Husky mix who needs a good home. Owner has had her since she was a pup, but he is being reassigned and cannot take Zoey to his new home. She is social with everyone and likes kids ages 1 to 16. She knows “sit” but would prefer belly rubs to going down. Zoey loves attention and to go for long walks. She is spayed, weighs 65 pounds, shots are up to date, and she is in good health. She gets along with other dogs and until recently has had a companion; cats are not recommended. Zoey is housebroken and is allowed in the house, but she prefers to be in the protected yard most of the time. There is no adoption fee for Zoey.

If you would welcome her into a loving home, please call Brian from 8 AM to 8 PM at 520-980-0306.

Hi… my name is Tater

Adopted May 29, 2015

If you’re looking for a happy, loyal, playful, and outgoing guy, your search is over! I lived with my family all my life, but my size and enthusiasm for life sometimes bowled the kids over, so they decided I might be better in an adult home where I could get my entertainment and exercise accompanying them on long walks (or runs or hikes or agility training!), long games of fetch in a big back yard, and just generally hanging out. I walk really well on a leash, adore belly rubs, know “sit,” and just generally want to snuggle up next to you at the end of the day. I’m a yellow Lab mix boy who, with love and consistent training, will be the canine companion of a lifetime!

Hi… my name is Sabo.

Adopted May 11, 2015

Sabo comes with FREE Vet Care for Life.

As my mom’s protector and companion all my life, you know that I was pretty distressed when she died. I had my job to do and did it well and wondered what would happen without her, but the good people here assure me that there is another place for me in the world. My mom’s neighbor said, “Sabo can be very gentle, sweet, and loving, and with strong leadership will make a loyal companion.” I’ve never been around kids, but did live with another big dog much of my life, so I’m guessing a fairly quiet home with mature people would suite me to a T. I’m an impressive, 89-pound, 11-year-old Tibetan mastiff lady (I come with Free Vet Care for Life) who’ll see that you’re loved and protected for the rest of my life.

Hi… my name is Reggie.

Adopted April 14, 2015.

Anyone who’s ever had a Basset hound or a Dachshund can tell you, we’re just about the most delightful dogs in the world — and I’m no exception! I totally ADORE people (and the attention that comes from them!), I have a sweet, happy temperament, love walks and car rides, playing fetch, and am just plain very smart. I’m crate trained, but I’m still working on perfect house manners (my foster mom said, “If I just had one more week…” when she left for vacation). I get along with other dogs (but am not terribly fond of little kids and have never been around cats), so all I need to be the perfect companion is consistency in my training. If you’ve got that, have I got a deal for you!

Hi… my name is Tilly.

Adopted May 4, 2015

If you remember the classic National Geographic cover that featured a family of meerkats standing on a hill, then you’ll know why I look familiar! I have the same dark-ringed eyes and color coat — and am just as endearing as they were in the picture! I’m a 6½ year-old Chihuahua lady who lost her people when they had to move into a new assisted living home. I lived with them almost all my life, and they said that I enjoy smaller dogs, know a few commands (including “off,” but that wasn’t my favorite!), love to jump (I guess I need a fairly high fence, just in case), was protective of my people and home, and loved squeaky toys. Combine that with my sweet personality, and you have the makings of a new best friend!
