Jasper is a sweet, quiet, and well-behaved 16-year-old, 17-pound Yorkshire terrier mix boy that needs a new home. He is housebroken and leash trained. He is in good health, is neutered and up to date on shots, but he has no teeth and cataracts cause limited vision. Jasper likes attention (and treats) but he is not a lap dog. He tolerates other dogs and cats if they leave him alone. He prefers to be around his adult owner and likes to know that his food, water and bed are nearby. There is no adoption fee for this special boy. If you will welcome Jasper into a loving home as part of your family, please call Linda between 10 AM and 6 PM at 603-288-2727.

Hi… my name is Ali Mae,

Adopted 10-25-20

If a wagging tail proves anything, then I’m a people-loving gal, since my tail seldom stops. Friends and strangers alike are all recipients of my affection. I know how to sit, use a doggie door, and walk well on a leash, and I’m unfazed by other dogs passing by. I absolutely adore car rides but found out quickly that I’m not allowed to get in the driver’s seat to help steer. So instead of putting pedal to the metal, I put nose to the air. I’m an adorable bundle of energy who’s hoping to find the right family to take me home. Even though I like to be the center of attention, I would happily share it with that special person (or persons). Could that possibly be you? Please call TALGV.

Rex

Hi… my name is Rex,

Adopted 11-15-20

Now how can you not love this face? My pal Sherman and I arrived here due to a life change at home. I am an energetic happy-go-lucky guy who loves milkbones, carrots, and ice cubes. Oh, and socks, did I mention I love them, too. I’m crate trained, house broken and sometimes I get a little too excited, so I hyperventilate. I really want your personal attention, so just pet me and I calm right down. Let me mention also that I can help you with the housekeeping. Being low to the ground I’ll pick up everything. I can be so helpful. I’m really bonded with Sherman, so wouldn’t you love a new helper to share the chores with?

Hi… my name is Jimmy,

Adopted with Bella D 11-23-20

Comes with Vet Care Support for Life

I am a small Lhasa Apso who recently came to live at TALGV with my pal Bella because our Mom got really sick. Mom said I was good at home, asked to go out when I needed to, and I am also crate trained. I actually feel safer in my crate, at least at the moment, so when you come to visit us, Bella will probably greet you at the door and I will hang back here to see what you’re all about. Can you give me some time to get to know you? At my age, I won’t need much: some love, some food, some care. Both of us come with vet care support for life and if possible, we’d like to stay together.

Hi… my name is Matthew,

Adopted 1-17-21

I am a young, happy, friendly, bouncy shepherd mix looking for an active family to have fun with! My foster mom says I am eager to learn, and that I learn fast, too. I am housebroken and I also know quite a few commands already, including “sit”, “come”, and that “off” means not to jump on people. When you say “no,” I stop what I’m doing. At night I sleep in my crate and I’m also okay with being left alone there for a while. If you give me a chew toy, I will entertain myself until you come back. Maybe then we can go for a car ride? Or visit with other dogs? I love running around with them and they say I play very nicely, even with the smaller ones.

Hi… my name is June Bug,

Adopted 9-18-20

They really didn’t name me right: I am a little love bug! I am a four-year-old, small terrier mix who loves to cuddle and be petted. When I was found, my jaw was broken. But it is now healed up pretty well and doesn’t bother me at all anymore. I can eat kibble and wet food; I am just not allowed to have any hard bones or chew toys. I like to play and have fun with the volunteers here, and I really look forward to my walks. I also like meeting new people and to explore new areas. But when we get home, your lap would be my preferred place to be! Why don’t you call and make an appointment to meet me: we just may be made for one another!

Hi… my name is Southland,

Adopted 9-19-20

I am a young Rottie/Heeler girl of medium size. When you first meet me, I act a bit shy, but give me a few minutes and you will see the gentle, loving side of me. Just look at my eyes! I have been around small children and they say I was good with them and also that I behaved well when I was left alone in the yard. I still need to learn a few things, like how to tell you when I need to go potty and how to walk better on a leash. I would really like to go home with someone who can help me become more confident and show me that I don’t need to be afraid of strangers. If that is you, will you come to meet me soon?

Hi… my name is Hannah,

Adopted 11-22-20

I’m a 1-year-old female Staffie mix. When you first meet me, you will immediately notice my majestic ears; secondly you will probably notice my “unique” feet. Don’t be concerned; I’m not handicapped. They are part of the original equipment that I was born with. I enjoy walks and leash training is presently one of my lessons. I do walk better on a flat surface such as sidewalks, etc. I’m a very affectionate girl that loves to play. I’m really good at the game “find it” and when playing with a ball, I will be more than happy to trade it for a treat. At first I wasn’t sure about cars but once I got in, I was thrilled to see the places we could visit. Please schedule an appointment because I would really like to meet you and you could see what a special little girl I am.

Hi… my name is Aaliyah,

Adopted 9-30-20

I’m a nine-year-old female Chihuahua that has recently had surgery and dental work. Now that’s taken care of, I’m ready for a new adventure. First on my list is a forever home with someone who would appreciate having me in their life almost as much as I would appreciate them in mine. Secondly, even though I’m in my retirement years, I might be willing to share my life and play time with a companion. Before I came to TALGV, I used to spend time in a play yard with another dog. If this seems like something you might be interested in, please call and make an appointment so we can meet in person. I could be just what you want and you’ll be the one I can love.
