Hi… my name is Vern,

Adopted 12-29-18

Comes with Free Vet Care for Life

After years together, Daisy and I had to say goodbye to our family when they moved to a smaller apartment and we came here. It was a scary change, but I’ve been a brave big brother (I was protective of the teenagers at home, too), and Daisy is the loving sister with whom I happily share my run, food and life. We’re different—I’m a 9-year-old male, 60-plus pounds (I come with Free Vet Care for Life), and she’s an 8-year-old female, 37 pounds—but we have lots in common: We each know a few commands, can use a doggie door, and we like to play! Best of all, each of us is a sweet dog who believes that having a friend makes everything better. If you agree, will you let me be yours?

Hi… my name is Daisy,

Adopted 10-15-18

After years together, Vern and I had to say goodbye to our family when they moved to a smaller apartment and we came here. It was a scary change at first, but Vern has been like my brave big brother (he was protective of the teenagers at home), and I’m the loving sister who happily shares my run, food and life with him. We’re from different litters—I’m an 8-year-old female, about 37 pounds, and he’s a 9-year-old male, about 60 pounds—and we have lots in common, too: We each know a few commands, how to use a doggie door, and we like to play! Best of all, each of us is a sweet dog who believes that having a friend makes everything better. If you agree, will you let me be yours?

Baxter is a handsome, energetic, and smart 50-pound, 1 ½-year-old male Lab mix that was recently rescued. He is housebroken, enjoys retrieving a ball and spashing in his pool, and is working on leash training. He is well behaved, crate trained, and knows sit. Baxter is healthy, has been neutered, and is up to date with shots (medical records available). He gets along with other dogs and kids. There is no adoption fee for this golden-eyed boy.

If you will welcome Baxter into a loving home as part of your family, please call Andrea between 8 AM and 8 PM at 520-307-9481.

Hi… my name is Sadie,

Adopted 7-27-18

“Given up for no fault of her own.” My former people said that about me, explaining that their 2-year-old had developed severe allergies to the cat and me. She also wrote, “We love them both so much,” so that was nice to know. I’m a 4-year-old Lab mix female, almost 50 pounds; fun, loving and happy. I’m leash-trained, know lots of commands—sit, stay, leave it, down, kennel—and love to play fetch! With children, I’ve been described as gentle and tolerant, but also as playing roughly—too much so for very small children (I can be “pretty bouncy”). Here at TALGV, I peacefully share my run with another dog. And if I were with you, my role would be to add love and fun to your life. Will you give me that chance?

Hi… my name is Rochelle,

Adopted 7-26-18

Dogs like me, a 3-year-old German Shepherd female, have been called “a dog lover’s delight”—an encouraging thought in a year that’s sometimes been topsy-turvy. First, I was brought here with my canine buddy Lucas because our person developed serious health concerns. Then, after we’d been happily adopted again, our new people had landlord issues and couldn’t keep us. We were all sad, having quickly grown to love each other very much. Indeed, “very loving” was one way they described me, along with reporting I was gentle and tolerant with kids ages 7 through 18, leash-trained, and used the doggie door. These days, you can understand why a stable, loving home will mean so much to me, and if that can be with you, I’ll gladly be the happy dog by your side forever.

Hi… my name is Lucas,

Adopted 8-3-18

I’m still a young guy (born in October 2016), but old enough to have gone through some big changes. First, my canine buddy Rochelle and I were brought here because, sadly, our person developed serious health concerns. We were then happily adopted, but our new people had landlord issues and we had to leave home again. Fortunately, as you know, dogs bounce back! Plus, it helped that my former people gave me so much love. They’re the ones who shared this info: I was gentle and tolerant with children ages 7 through 18, used the doggie door, and learned commands like sit, down, and stay. They described me as loving and protective. I’m a 28-pound Dachshund male, who’d like to settle in one home forever—a loving, happy home, please, with someone wonderful like you.

BREE is a beautiful, energetic, and affectionate, 5-year-old, 60-pound hound mix that was adopted as a puppy, but he needs a new home as owner’s new job will not allow time for his care. Bree is neutered and shots are up to date; he has recently been diagnosed with Valley Fever, but with ongoing treatment there is no physical evidence of it (medical records available). He loves people, is obedience trained, and usually has excellent manners (knows sit, stay, shake, come, lay down). He is housebroken and asks to go out; he would be best as an only dog (no cats, please), walks well on leash, and loves to run. He is good with children of all ages.

There is no adoption fee for this special guy. If you would welcome Bree into a loving home as part of your family, please call Nate between 1 and 8 PM at 619-381-2790.
